Would be great if I could find a Burger King lol
Was one in Blackpool that burnt down nearest one I think is Liverpool or something equally as naff now ;'(
#3
Burger KIng world wide sold out to another company last week, trade going down, unable to compete with Mc Donalds and newer rivals.
I always thought that Mc Donalds semmed to have a more uniform quality and cleanliness they imposed thoughout europe. But Burger King were always very hit and miss everywhere on quality and especially cleanliness

Saturday sorted.

I am pleased to inform you that there is a Burger King
at Bamber Bridge, Preston. It's near Sainsburys at the
end of the M65/A6.
I pass it daily, it is usually empty!

When I used to work there I used to sell quadruple burgers with cheese and bacon. They were a hit with drunken clubbers although very likely to induce heart attacks when consumed in quantity. (cue family guy)

Burger king burgers are quality, the problem is they are barely anywhere. They tend to be only in built up areas eg. there are 2 in Portsmouth city centre. if they exposed themselves more they would get more trade. Take subway for example....
#13
just got this deal for lunch... got the guts ache to show for it!!

WTF you get your info? McDonalds GRILL there burgers at around 180 degrees for 45 seconds for regular patties and about 90seconds or so for the quarters no fat need apply, the fries are deep fried though as is the fish/chicken products

Totally agree I love the flame grilled taste, if they priced to compete directly with the other 2 big fast fooder's and had more presence they would be in a better situation

Too many service stations with extortionist prices

Clearly you know nothing, I work at Mcdonalds. You would not believe the level of hygiene and quality control we go to.
#24
Double whopper meal is only £4.99 also

i second that

Burger King microwave them don't they? IIRC... I'm sure they are flame grilled at some point but not normally just as they are served. Need a McKing where I get a McD burger and BK fries...
#29
burger king ftw, so much nicer than maccys
#30
Has a new rule been imposed that stops those self-important worthyites from declaring "Ooooh great, unhealthy! everyone gets fat! I'm greater than you" etc. at threads like this?

Seems so. It was certainly a long time coming.

This seems a good deal, but I still prefer McDonalds. I find Burger King are usually in the nastier parts of town and as mentioned above their hygiene levels are horrible compared to bright sparkling white McDonalds kitchens. Burger King always looks like the Industrial Zone in Crystal Maze. Mind you the only one I've been to recently is Waterloo.

Re: Blackpool BK - 'WTF you get YOUR info?': http://www.blackpoolgazette.co.uk/blackpoolnews/Popular-Blackpool-restaurant-closes.5360314.jp

It didn't burn down, neither does the building show any signs of fire damage.
#32
The trouble with BK is prices vary enormously, at least with McDonalds you don't get ripped off, would be happy to see them go under. Also BK seem never to be fresh but Microwaved to order, hardly ever go in to one these days.
#33
I prefer Md's, You cant beat a big mac, Burger kings ok and sometimes go there for a change but price and taste wise Mc's wins.
[helper]#34
Should be in vouchers section and not deals - I've argued with the mods about this in the past and they say its a voucher not a deal....
#35
Nothing will ever beat Burger King's XL Bacon Double Cheeseburger
#36
But its not a voucher. Its a deal.

I prefer BK, sadly there are 3 McDonalds and 2 KFC's between me and the nearest one.
#37
burger king, the most tasteless crap i've ever had.

No in Portsmouth city centre there is only 1 BK and that was only built just under a year ago. However there are 3 subways in the city centre, each a 2 minute walk away from each other, plus a little bit further on there's another subway opposite the uni. So there's 4 Subways in a mile square and none are particularly busy.

You got it right though not the times and temp. 218/177 and 42 seconds for 10:1 and 218/177 and 112 seconds for Promo and 1/4.

Burger King keep their beef pattys in a UHC (basically a slot where the beef stays warm, so they may grill them in the morning but it may stay in there for hours.)

ALL THIS TALK OF BURGERS IS MAKING ME HUNGRYYYYYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
