This film is only a week old and it is £9.99 in Asda, I bought it about an hour ago. It was £2 cheaper than the DVD :S

Read good things about it so worth a go if you ask me

It's a great film, but not sure one you'd watch multiple times. I think it'll come down further in price quite soon. Still, heat added :D
#2
not even a week old - film came out today (14th)

It's been this price online as a pre-order for about 2 months. But nice to see a physical store matching it!

Thought the film was boring personally as I was so tempted to walk out the cinema half way through.

Voted hot for price and am sure some people will enjoy it

I have just literally finished watching this.... What a waste of an hour and a half! I thought it would pick up but it didn't. Really poor.

This does not deserve BluRay treatment, this film was possibly the worst I've ever seen, just get it on DVD if you really have to watch it, trust me, there's no scenes that will look better in HD.

Have to agree with that, it's hardly the most clourful pic ever made.

granted, it might not be HD material but it is a brand new film and is cheaper than anywhere else (unless u preordered at zavvi, etc..) and its even cheaper than the DVD, so good deal.

Aint watched the movie yet though i read good things about it though.

Worst you've ever seen? You don't watch many films then me thinks :-). I know it's not to everyone's taste, but acting and production values alone prevent it from being the worst film ever seen. ;) (oh..and it's cheaper than the DVD)

Putting aside you calling it the worst film you've ever seen (if this is the case you are very lucky), your statement makes no sense. I watched it on blu-ray recently and it looks brilliant, no there aren't any massive explosions to show off HD but it still looks better than a SD copy would.

Plus, online the DVD and blu-rays are the same price and the OP stated the DVD in ASDA was £2 more expensive.

Calm down, I was just making the point that I don't think there's much to the eye in the film, man!
#13
I actually enjoyed this alot. i though the fresh new unexplored cinematography style and what i think is an amazing performance pulled together well to create something id never seen before. il admitt, its a guy in a box, but does the fact it doesnt have multiple settings, nude scenes, fights or explosions make it a bad film?? any true film fan MUST see this. maybe not a blu ray film though.... :P

Rent it

It's ok nothing special just a watchable movie with a dead end :0)

£9.95 at Zavvi

not worth buying on blu ray or dvd
rent maybe, just about watchable film

In my opinion the acting in this was top notch and it's a very different kind of psychological thriller that really keeps you on seat edge. On top of this it's Ryan Reynolds acting seriously and doing a very good job of it.
#18
I normally hate Ruyan Reynolds but when he did serious acting in Smoking Aces he was excellwnt, so this might be good.

Nice to see somepeople take the time out to read my reasoning on posting this instead of just slamming it down outright!
#19
Good film, but not worth getting on blu ray.

Good movie. Can't believe the morons on here with the spoilers - they should be banned.

dont spend a penny on it

Voted hot, thanks for posting

Terrible film IMO
#24
why do some people feel the need to become a film critic here? surely the point is if its a good price or not?

Voted hot for the comparative price.

Thought it was a very entertaining film and it takes guts and innovation to make a film based almost entirely in a dark 7x2x2' location! Has to rely on plot and ideas rather than big explosions every few minutes, definitely not for the ADHD cretins. Wouldn't personally buy it on BD new..

And yes, people who post childish spoilers should be banned.
#26
Not to the liking of typical michael bay transformers fans...excellent movie imo, would put it in a similar genre to phonebooth.

However, cant vote hot or cold, as this is the advertised price on tv for the release of this blu ray.
#27
Personally i thought it was a great great film, no its not pure hollywood cheese with massive explosions and expensive sets- but if you like an interesting story line with good acting which is well made.
#28
Acting was decent but then again acting claustrophobic and frightened for the entire movie can't have been the most challenging type of role.

Very morbid, pointless and flimsy plot, I was half expecting some clever twist before the end but no it just ends as you would expect. The whole reason for the guy being buried alive didn't seem to matter and the ending just left me asking what the overall point of this story was? Was the point of this film just to watch a guy slowly die if so well done objective achieved. How anyone got any pleasure out of watching this film is beyond me.

The story is too bland and pointless to overcome the morbid theme. It fails where 127 hrs succeeded.

I'll vote hot based on the fact it's a decent deal but I would not recommend this movie and as others have pointed out about blu ray, bit pointless just like the plot.
#29
good of the mods to delete one post that gives away the ending but not the other, because having it in the thread twice is too much but once won't spoil it for anyone..?

anyway its a good film, as evidenced by a pretty solid score on imdb but as you can see here it's certainly not for some. i would also agree that you probably wouldn't watch it more than once so maybe it's the kind of film you'd rent rather than buy. 'orses for courses init
or of course you could just wait for the price to come down :D

f in crap he dont even get out dont waste your money

do you practice at being a complete idiot or is it natural ability?

tis a really crap film though
#31
I personally thought it was an awful film and one of the worst I've seen (and trust me I go to the cinema alot and buy/rent many films). There's just no pay off for the audience.... Can't really go into any more than that without spoiling it. I'd only recommend as a rental as even the people out there that love it must admit it's gonna be hated by quite a few people lol!

Listen to the amount of ppl who say its not worth it you will lose 90 mins of your life that you will never get back. . Really don't watch this film! !
#33
Not worth buying in HD. All you see is darkness in the film anyway.
#34
Let's not forget that you get HD SOUND as well as HD Pictures on Bluray...in which regard this film scores highly. Haven't seen the film yet so can't comment, but surely this is a HOT deal if it's cheaper than the dvd? Fingers crossed my local has some in stock.

Almost forgot to mention - Cex are currently buying this for £11, so even if you don't like it you can actually make money on this one.:p
#35
Agreed, the sound was ace. Really convincing on our system.
Mind you, I'd be well up for selling my copy now, can't see the point in watching it again.
#36
i watched it and enjoyed it, the missus hated the ending. The person who spoiled the ending needs to be shot on sight.

Despite knowing the ending i really enjoyed it, i watched it then traded it in for £10 so i lose nothing :D
