me too! Be interesting to see how it compares to the ps3 version (which is excellent!).

Oh, that's cheap. Can't find it cheaper than £14 anywhere else. :)
#6
I can not really find it there... Is it only me? When I search for it, it only show me Burnout Paradise Ultimate Box for €29.99...

just click "go to deal" button and the price comes up at £5. use code to get 25%.

hope that helps.

just downloading the demo :)

Should be noted that this is part of a daily deal thing over Christmas, they've been doing this for a while now.

- Cokezone are doing the £10 off vouchers again as well so you could get this game for free.

Oh, one more thing, quidco gives 10% back (not taking into account vouchers) so if you use quidco and buy this with a money off voucher, you'll still get 50p back. I actually got paid £1 per game back when they had crysis warhead, ect for £10 :P

Brilliant price, downloading as we speak!!
#10
Does this apply to the PS3 version? If not, anyone know of a cracking deal for it else where??!

Yeah, it will put the price down to £0.00 and you lose the other £5 off the voucher, you're better off finding something random for £5 on the site and putting that in your cart as well

I own the 360 version but got a dirt cheap copy of the PC version at the EA Store a few months ago. It was virtually unplayable on my hardware even at the lowest settings :-D

Pretty much the same here, plays really badly compared to other games I play. Didn't look nice either. Found the games quite annoying too, I like to know where I'm racing. With this you take one wrong turn and you'll lose a race as the road will end up going the opposite direction!
#18
how does downloading this compare to Steam?.....do you just download the file and install yourself or do you need EA's own software?

That's a shame cause I'll be trying to run it on a Sony Vaio laptop. Racedriver: Grid couldn't run properly, so I was hoping this one would but now it seems like I've wasted my money again. :-(

If it's anything like the experience I've just had, you buy it, but the downloader doesn't work in windows 7. So you reboot your system back into Windows XP, and install the downloader. Then, the downloader won't accept the username and password that you purchased the game with, and you spend 45 minutes talking to an idiot in support who keeps contradicting himself and tries to tell you you can't download it as your order isn't complete when the status shows as complete and you have received a confirmation email.

Still no game - as bad as I should have expected from EA :(

EA suck these days, they still haven't got Carbon to work properly. Think they've just given up.

Nope. Been at work all day - still am, and since this is only on sale for 1 day only I thought I might as well buy it.

What's these £10 cokezone voucher people talk about? Can't seem to find them under "vouchers".

Ah, fair enough. Don't know about the vouchers, think you have to collect cans of coke??

Will this work ok on an Intel Quad-core 2.4ghz, 3gb 800mhz DDR2 RAM, Ati Radeon 5770 1gb GDDR5?
#26
Top man! Was thinking of buying this a couple of weeks ago at £30. It's a good game and worth every penny!

I've had no problems with the EA Downloader on Windows 7.

grid runs superbly on mine...super smooth..much better than my xbox tbh....but then its a reasonable spec...i5, gtx260, 8 gb ddr3 1600 ram, win 7 64bit

most bottles of coke have codes printed onto the bottle under the label (3 points for 3l bottle, 2 points for a 500ml bottle), put them into that site and you can buy stuff with them. you can get a £10 off EA STORE voucher for 20 points.
#31
Works great on my laptop (2.0ghz dual core pentium (reasonably worse than the core2 duos that are common in laptops nowadays I think?), 4GB ram and 512mb ATI HD4750). I've had no problems with the EA downloader on Vista or Windows 7 either.

Does anyone know how this compares to the PS3 version? I picked it up in Game yesterday as it was cheap and I had trade-in credit, but I'm thinking of just taking it back because I already own the PC version.

racing game of the year 2009. IGN.
bargain. heat.

Works really well on my XPS 420 with Geforce 8800 card.

By the way, played the demo, loved it. Bought it and loving it now :D

Recommended buy!

What am I missing guys? Played this game and thought it was cack. Love NFS MW, Carbon etc.

Thanks. I guess I'll have to buy 10 x500 ml bottles to get the £10 pounds off then. Might be worth it if I can find another game I'm interested in.
Hmmm.... I could get Need for speed: Carbon for free with the £10 voucher. :)

Tried Burnout paradise. Actually runs pretty well. However using my steering wheel I have the same problem as in Grid....a 0.5 second lag when turning the wheel, which makes it almost unplayable. GTR evolution didn't have that problem :x
#36
Great price for a decent arcade racer.

Cheers OP.

H&R added.

BS...

Yeah, it might actually work on Windows 7 - I got exactly the same error when I tried it on Windows XP... It's just EA support claimed it didn't and that was my problem, and they have a webpage to back it up.

I've got the conversation saved and will be sending them a ranty email later - the support guy was an idiot. My account still isn't working with EA Downloader, but I downloaded the free demo. It's a try and buy version, so I just entered my key and it installed the full version (and the downloader, which still doesn't work...). I've logged into the game, and it's working nicely though!

it works on windows 7 64bit and 32bit....the same cant be said of windows 64bit with itunes 64bit (nightmare and apple is at fault!!), hp J6410, logitech webcam 5000, logitech harmony one software (logitech are hopeless!!)...in fact the logitech software was so hopeless it almost trashed my win7 install.....i sent a snotogram to logitech thanking them them for the ruddy 'virus'!!
