That's what I thought too! But actually the confusing "£99 discount applied at checkout" sign is in fact two statements...
The price: £99 and then the information: discount applied at checkout

Would have made much more sense to write it as "£99 (discount applied at checkout)"!

i'm on the confirm and pay page, but the price hasn't droped to less than 100, what am i doing wrong?

my shopping cart has
jacket
trousers
shoes
shirt

yet everything seems to be full price.

Do i actually have to purchase, to get the confirmation?

Its only with selected suits, no?
#11
i've added the "navy stripe suit", picked the sizes on the summary page, and it came to 154
i proceeded through checkout and the price didn't drop :(

the prices change however, with the added description "Free shoes, shirt & tie with selected suits £89-£99" if i asked for 2 jackets, and 1 of everything else.

more specifically, the shirt (@ £20) doesn't have this message
#12
i've got around the problem.

i added another suit - with the same shirt, and then

removed original shirt from basket
and removed second jacket, trousers, and shoes

leaving me with orig, jacket, trousers, shoes, and secondary shirt....

all items in basket with that "Free shoes, shirt & tie with selected suits £89-£99" message, and lower grand total.

happy now
#13
cheers, grabbed a spare suit for work.

Not sure about the voucher but yes the offer was online from Sunday and instore from Monday.

I have the 'navy city stripe suit' from a previous offer and it is excellent quality particularly at these prices.

i have a burton suit from about 5 years ago and its brilliant...really good quality!!
#26
Hot deal!! Even if it is only a wool deal, you'd struggle to get what your getting in this deal elsewhere, with similar decent quality.
#27
Great deal! Is slim fit the tailored ones? I am not sure
#28
Is this just online?

Also - Is there a size guide any where? Doesn't seem to be a slim fit option?!
#29
Says instore from yesterday - am a bit wary about buying online, suit sizes vary so much store to store, and you'd want to check the quality out really.
I bought a Debenhams suit on a similar deal about 6 months ago - but the shoes were unwearable, and the suit feels really nasty and doesn't hang right at all.
I think that was £69, and the suit is now emergencies "everything's at the dry cleaners" and the only thing I wear is the shirt and tie.

I have had burton's suits in teh past and they lasted well. All depends whether these are specially wheeled in cheapos, or their usual suits on a special offer.

These are the same suits just on offer (I work for the company that sells these through burtons). They are great quality and I own a few myself (50% off :whistling:). We also produce the Tesco suits mentioned earlier and we wholesale them to them. The Tesco suits aren't as good quality but they all come from the same factory.

the slims are not part of the £99 deal with shirt and shoes. for slims just select sale on left column at the bottom.

The price should be £99, £99 isnt the discount, the discount takes it to £99. Although you seem to have got it down to £69 so my guess is something may be missing from your basket.

I got the grey mohair suit, total cost with the NUS discount £121.50.
Anyone know if you have to add the tie separately or does this come with the shirt?

I've had a couple of suits from Burtons and one was a washable one, really nice quality and fit me perfectly but tore the trousers so cant wear it now!

everyone must be 36S, all the ones I liked are gone :o(

Seriously for those on a budget you aren't going to get much better than this. Another hundred on a suit alone would get you a wool rich number which will last far longer and look the part for much longer too. Been through a couple of Burtons siuts in the past 2 years and the fabrics show their age if worn every day quite quickly.

If you do wear a suit every day then this could work out to be a false economy but for periodic use its a steal.

I buy sale stuff quite a lot and thinking about the prices I have paid for better quality I would say that you could get:

decent quality suit - £150 - (Wool or wool rich)
Clarks sale shoes - £30 - (just bought a very nice pair of loafers for this price)
Shirt and tie - around £30

So for circa £200 you'd get something much harder wearing and probably a better looking ensemble too. Like I said, this is a steal, but if like me you wear a suit every day its worth saving that extra for somthing that will last longer. Heat added.
#38
I bought the suit etc yesterday. There was a good range of suits, shirts and shoes. The suit quality is fine but the shirts felt a little thin. All in all, a good deal.
#39
whats the return policy on these?
#40
Received mine today....very pleased for the price and surprisingly everything fits nice. Tie is poor but everything else looks good for the value.
