Seems like a good deal, if you have USB 3.0, as it looks like it's normally £29.99. If the USB 2 rates are good it's not too bad for a 16GB USB 2 stick either.

Expect they will be down a lot in price by the time I get a USB 3.0 but currently a good buy and heat given.

What's the point of a USB3 flash drive unless the transfer rate exceeds USB2? It's going to need a read speed in excess of 30MB/s to make a difference. What is the actual rated read/write speed of this?

Wonder if these actually have more than 50% of the memory in them ... unlike the other busbi drives from the other week, my 4gb ones were less than 3 !

From their own site, so hopefully the real-world speeds are something close to these:
Transfer Speeds: Read / Write MB/s
USB 2.0 35 / 22
USB3.0 54 / 35

What is the point of a USb drive you have to use only on your computer because it has USB 3.0? So what happens when you use the USB Drive on a USB 2.0 PC....back to normal?

Ordered, thanks.

What I will be using it on have USB3.0, speeds aren't massive but not many of these around for USB 3.0 yet. USB2.0 speeds seem quite good too (if they meet speeds the website says) compared to most cheaper products so not a bad price.

Well you're going to get the fast 35MB/s USB 3.0 write speeds when writing on your PC then if you're reading/copying it onto a USB 2.0 PC then you'll get the equally fast 35MB/s USB 2.0 read speeds.

Just a note on the USB2 Busbi drives: I ordered 4 of their 4GB USB2 drives when they were less than £3 each. 3 of them are actually 2.9GB, one is 3.1GB (?). Two of them were so bad that I literally couldn't install Windows from them as the data was invalid. All of them have very shoddy build quality: yes the brushed steel case is quite nice but the retracting mechanism is sticky and awful, and quite often retracts as you insert the drive to the slot meaning you don't get a connection.

Not saying these will be the same, but they look similar, so just putting it out there...

This looks like it has a cap so no retraction? Or do they have a cap and retract?

Having posted the £2.99 Busbi 4GB deal and having bought a few of them, and finding the capacity (all 2.9GB) was nowhere near advertised capacity, I wouldn't trust anything Busbi branded.

Arrived today. Capacity is 14.9GB as I was expecting (not sure why they state them so high).

(HD Tune Free)
USB2.0 Read Speed 32.8MB/s
USB3.0 Read Speed 51.8MB/s
not got a program to do write speeds but based on these being slightly under that stated earlier I would say they're going to be around the write speeds too.
