I posted this deal to see whether it was good or not. Its getting voted down but can someone explain why or give a decent alternative? want a full hd lcd tv with built in freeview and dvd about 24inch or near

thanks

Cant see why its getting cold, just got the 19" Technica from Tescos for £85 or thereabouts, but this is 5" bigger, (means a lot to a woman the OH says?) , Full HD with a DVD player, only reason i can see is that peeps want a Blu-Ray built in maybe?
Hot for that price from me. thanks for the pointer
#3
Tempted by the technika for £85 but your OH is bang on im afraid - my OH has said no because a few inches makes all the difference, oh well I suppose I have to make it up somewhere!

I haven't voted but I wouldn't touch a Bush telly with bush pole:p. Had two previously, bought one for my mum and another for myself, at differing times. They both gave up the ghost within c.1 year of buying. Mum's was a 32 inch, mine was a 15".

I don't know why it's cold either, seems a good price. Had a bush TV before, it was great and was still working great when we gave it away after several years because we upgraded to a plasma.

Edit: Just noticed the other deal for a 32" lcd for just 32 quid more than this one. That may have a bit to do with the voting cold?

I wouldn't recommend it. Had a Bush TV/DVD combi and the DVD broke within 16mths. Think you'd be better buying stand alones.

Which one, is it built in dvd & freeview, if so then I will be happy to pay a little extra, have you got the link?

Got this free when it was last this price, using my nectar points.

Great TV and a much needed improvement on the 19" TV in my bedroom.

Probably cold because of this deal:
www.hotukdeals.com/deals/hannspree-st251-25-lcd-freeview-ful/760177#comments
Although I see it has gone up £10 now it's still better value.

Opps: I see the bush has a DVD player. Still there are some good deals on this sort of lcd at Tesco Direct at the moment:

Neither can I. I would appreciate a decent alternative so i can get a better deal but I haven't seen one with all these features included if I'm honest

-55 & no better alternative I can see offered by anyone, I'm in no way loyal to this deal that's not how I roll, i just genuinely wouldn't buy anything else over this so far, please someone prove me wrong

Every now and then a bunch of nobody's has nothing better to do than vote a deal cold for no reason. This is one i'm afraid. I got this over 2 months ago, and then it was the best 24"around for the price. I am sure there might be other deals now, but no-one seems to have one.

Can't argue with that, you are exactly right!

I understand if people don't care for the DVD then it's not for them. I'm going to buy this or similar for someone else, if it was for me I wouldn't care about the DVD either, but then I wouldn't vote either way just because it doesn't suit me.

The point is I AM buying something that has a DVD built in similar to this and I, and by the looks of things, no-one else can find anything better in the Market of 'full hd LCD tv with freeview and DVD combi' about 24inch, if there is I'll buy that instead

I personally would go for the one of the Hannspree's. 25 inch £169.9928 inch £217.99I don't think people are to bothered about the DVD when you get into the £200 price range, which could explain the cold votes.

I suppose we should accept that some people are just too thick to compare like with like. Comparing a normal TV with one with a DVD player is like comparing a freeview box with a freesat plus HD box.

Give me strength.

Got to go - spotted a car thats a real bargain. It has no wheels & no engine, but what the heck, its cheaper than one with them,

Brilliant!

....Now here's a genuine comparison just posted:

http://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/technika-23-231bl-blue-23-hd-ready-/766240#post9471891

But its the car with no wheels & no engine brigade voting it down again!

Maybe we are being a little harsh and they do know a better deal that offers similar..... they just won't tell us! Damn them!

Where did I say I was comparing like with like, I gave a personal recommendation (and stated that) as an alternative should the poster feel it was a better option to buy separate components. They didn't so I left it there. I didn't vote his deal cold. Nor did I run around the internet all day trying to find a better deal for them. If they like the TV and they are happy to buy it then good luck to them, hope it turns out to be what they want.

Thank you, looks like I probably will buy this deal.

I'm no columbo, but..... 'Just one more thing' - you have time to post on this deal throughout the day - you post on the other tv combi deal I have mentioned - you are even kind enough to post links to other deals you have seen..... and yet you WON'T post a link to a deal similar to this that will better it because you dont have time

You WON'T.... Or you CAN'T???????

With an attitude like mine? - what coming on here, posting a deal and challenging anyone to better it - how dare I!!!.... I see waht you mean..... HA!

Could it be with an attitude like yours, this site would fast lose any deals posted and credibility to the ones that were :0*

Cant, but then I never voted cold did I. So what's your point.

Not what you did or didn't vote. Point is, you haven't beaten this deal....I don't expect your world to suddenly cave in upon reading that....I'm simply using this site in the spirit it was intended, not just leech from other peoples deals posted, which is fine and I do a lot (thank-you hotukdeals!), I'm posting deals other people can look at and see if it is good or bad, not just for others, I don't expect a medal, but myself

To be honest, had I not challenged posters in previous comments, people would have just passed this deal by, I wouldn't have known for sure whether they hadn't posted a deal because they didn't fancy it, or couldn't actually find a better one, now I know

Is this not the fundamental make-up of this site and what makes it so invaluable?
