Sainsbury's is selling a Digilogic freeview box for under a tenner, nationwide in store only. You can pick it up in any of the bigger stores though it may be a good idea to give them a ring to check if its got it in stock before you make the trek.
Not sure if this is available online.

HOT thanks

Anyone got an exact model number? Any reviews/comments?
I know it's only a tenner, but no point of its laggy/lip sync issues etc
Otherwise, a very cheap price!

seems like a bargain

Sainsbury's has said there is a reasonable amount in stock, but when they're gone, they're gone, so get in quick. The offer will last until stock has sold out.

I bought one of these a few months ago when they were around £20. The box was faulty though as the sound didn't sync up to the picture. Took it back but didn't bother exchanging it as the clerk there said they'd seen this a few times. Still, it's a bargain if it's working though as it was quite a nice little box.

i have three of these boxes and have to say as yet have had no problems with good value for the money and easy to set up.if this is the same as mine this has two scart sockets unlike others.

i bought one and within 2 days it was having troubles like Syncing and other sound/picture problems, so i took it back and they said they had had 3 others that morning returned as faulty and had had over 10 back that week.
I went to Argos and got one of their cheap boxes (without fault to this day)

Unlikey im afraid. A better box might have a more sensitive tuner, but i doubt this is your main problem, a more sensitive tuner still cant make a signal out of nothing. i suspect you live in a poor signal area, so would suggest an outdoor ariel.
The other possibilty worth a try is to reposition the ariel, unplug the freeview box and go through the initial setup, as it will rescan. Maybe its locked onto a weak signal from another trasmitter for the beeb.
Good luck

The Sainsbury's website quotes a price of £29.99 for the Bush Digital Box:

http://www.sainsburys.co.uk/shoppingandservices/entertainment/instore_electricals/set_top_box/bush_dfta2.htm

Is this just an instore offer ? Or is the make and model of the £10 free view box different from the Bush (as above) ?

Please clarify....

Cheers for your advice, It's not such emergency now as I generally watch the 5 channels via analogue untill 2011, On the odd occasion the BBC channels play okay but mostly breaks up constantly. I'll have to re-think my options when my area goes digital. Just searched my ariel and it's specs are for Indoor antenna ideal for receiving UHF TV channels, there are several made for digital ranging from £20 upwards,I may try to find one and return it if it makes no difference. Should of looked before spamming this thread....doh!!!
