It's a bit ironic, isn't it for a fridge needing to be in an ambient temperature, wouldn't you say?

Pretty much all of these cheap fridge freezers also only have one thermostat which means that even if the refrigerant gas doesn't freeze, the freezer will thaw because the the thermostat is only controlling the fridge. I have that problem so during the winter I can't store anything in the freezer section of my garage f/f. Luckily my refrigerant gas (R600a) is rated down to 5degrees which hasn't *yet* caused an issue cooling the fridge.
