No it's not a full size turntable. LP's will play but they stick out over the edge of the unit

Yes, you can play and convert. Look at the lid on the unit, it has a section cut out that enables LP's to play when the lid is closed

I replaced my old technics SL-1210s with 2 of these mamas and they are brilliant....great for scratching as well. And you can listen to the radio too.

Voted hot, reserved one.

Can anyone find any reviews of this? I'm looking for a new CD player and wondered how this sounds? Can it play back MP3s from a CD or a memory stick?
#15
Records cd to usb, now there's handy:whistling: is that in real time too:w00t:

The vinyl recording could be handy but not over sold on the quality of a Bush:)
#16
will this convert stuff on a line in? i.e. cable in my cassette player?
#17
33/45 only - no 78's :(

Reviews on argos site not good either.may still be worth a go if you have a lot of vinyl in the garage collecting dust like me but i will pass this time around,

warning this unit does not support 78rpm Records

brought one of these the other day, went straight back to argos. Sooo cheaply made, the arm of the record skated everywhere, kept jumping, sound was tinny, the speakers are all pre-wired to. Not worth 10 quid in my eyes, just check the reviews on the argos website, they are shocking. Stay well clear. I ended up buying a usb turntable , an ION profile one from maplins to convert my LPs into mp3 via connection to my macbook. Excellent product for 69.99 as there is £10 off it at the moment.

This would be the killer for me. I'd want to use my own speakers, most likely. Thanks for the info.

It wouldn't exactly be technically challenging to open the unit up and rewire I am sure, however the poor reviews regarding the quality of the unit I would say are more off putting than the ability to use your own speakers (which could easily be modded as said)

Well this unit gets bad reviews, but surprisingly What Hi Fi I remember have a Bush MTT 1 turntable within their reviews thats only 50 quid that is meant to be outstanding (whether Bush paid them for a stellar review or not I do not know!)

I just cancelled my orders at the Milton Keynes Extra store and the Dunstable store so 2 more available. There were also units available in Leighton Buzzard on Home delivery last night.

(Don't need not steekin' turntables..... he says he already got one ;' )

Well after my initial excitement getting the last one in the store, on opening looks like a duff. No manual, no USB lead, no remote, no software.

Looks like it is going back!
