Description says MediaTek clearly, if that is correct
But yes, £200 for a Bush (stop you dirty mind ;)
Yes, 4GB ram, 64GB Rom, 5.5inch display looks good on paper, but Expect it to drop to £150 in 2-3 months

Archos are the OEM. Price wise you could get an LG G3. Although that device is older and is by no means perfect I would rather have a Lucky Gold Star than a Bush.

You would have to be crazy to spend £200 on anything Bush. Even at £50 and with these specs I would be reluctant. Bush are a name synonymous with crap quality throughout their product range.

Maybe they need to re-brand to fit modern times......... 'Shaven'?

It's not about the brand it's about value and you can find a lot better value than this

Genuinely interested in suggestions. Have looked into Chinese phones from GearBest etc and many do not work on networks such as Tesco etc, limiting selection.

looks good. tend to agree it'll be around the 150 mark by September tho. personally I'd take this over anything gearpest etc sell. at least if it's Ng you can easily return it AND it's unlikely to have the spyware pre-installed. don't expect any updates tho.

You might be, but the majority wouldn't - if they sold for £50, they'd be selling them faster than they were being manufactured!!

Show me any other brand new phone with similar/identical specs for £50. Even a cheap Chinese-branded one would be impossible to find. The closest I've come across is the Pepsi-branded one for £67, which has only quarter the ROM & half the RAM capacity to begin with.

Nexus 5X has to be comparable in price/specs to this now, surely?

To begin with, the standard Nexus 5X has only 16+2Gb, while this has 64+4Gb. In other words, 4 times the ROM & twice the RAM.

Bush started making radios in the 1930s and to give them their due theres still a few around today. It was all downhill after that. With their sister company Alba they make low end electronics with low end components. They are owned by the Home Retail group so youll find them in Argos and Homebase. A recent Bush tablet review just about sums them up "Cheap as it may be, it’s also below par. Calling Bush’s tablet "ordinary" would be a compliment. I dont mind being a brand snob if I can get something decent for a few quid extra.
The saving grace for this phone is that its made in China from what I can gather. Lots of good phones are manufactured these days. If you've got £200 then a Xiaomi would be a far better and safer bet.

Storage I get, but what does this do better with 4Gb RAM that the Nexus 5X can't do with 2GB?

The Moto G4 Plus is better at this price. I would be open to this handset, were it close to the £100-130 mark.

At this price moto x style for 50 pound more or one plus 2. Better upgrade options for future and from more respectable brands :p.

the phone looks really nice and has high-end specs. I'm seriously interested.
People quick to disregard it because its a Bush phone. If this had Samsung splashed all over it then people would be creamin' themselves...fact!
And yes, this phone is exactly the same as the Archos Diamond 2 Plus. Which is also available the same time the E3X is for the same low price.

The Bush does look like a great deal. I've had 2 Hudl's both based on Archos Tablets, both have been good.
