These are just rebranded Haus machines from China. I work doing domestic appliance repair and the failure rate within one year on some of their models is as high as 80%.

Forget wasting your money on this when you can get a Bosch for under £300, which will outlast this rubbish many times over.

I'd go along with that. In fact I'd avoid anything with the Bush branding.

I'm inclined to go along with 'odom' the reviews are generally positive but most of those reviews would be written shortly after buying of course and not after long term use.

As odom states they are simply rebranded. Bush is now a brand of the Argos group. Argos can put that brand on any generic product they can find which looks to be a haier product of china.

Generally Which recommend Bosch at the lower end but the quality seems to be falling on some bosch products because of outsourcing so you have to be careful.

I have a really tatty old Candy that came with the house about 4 years ago. I said when it fails I'll replace it. It still hasn't and its probably about 15 years old in total. Looks ancient but works brilliantly. I'm inclined to think like many things which are mechanical the older products are a bit stronger.

There must be some brave people out there to buy one of these.

Too brave for me - as they say, "I'm out!"

I have a Candy Washer/Tumble Dryer that is 26 years old and still working!

It looks very much like the Haier brand that Argos also stock. I bought the 1260 (?) model about a year ago (£130 iirc), no problems to report whatsoever. Having said that it is not used extensively, if you're a family putting 2 or 3 washes on a day you probably want to spend more on a reputable brand of ocurse!

I've heard a lot about Haier washing machines and its not good. you cand get an extrended guarantee, but if its breaking down every month whats the point. Definately worth spending a bit more. Have to agree with Candy owners, had a washer dryer of theirs. never broke over 5 years and was the only washer dryer i have had that actually completely dried the clothes.

Purchased one of these a few weeks ago and impressed, it does what it says and for the money good value, i will no doubt find out in the future if they are unreliable, i purchased a washing machine many years ago made by indesit and that was a bag of sh-t . so branded machines can also be rubbish.

Yes, because Indesit is perhaps THE worst "brand" if you can call it that!... The Lada of washing machines!

I know of a 1940's Lanchester, and it's still going strong too, that has about 2000 miles on the clock.

That said, you won't have one of these things in 26 years even if it is left alone, a LOT has changed in washing machine quality in the last 26 years!
