I find these quite reliable, the more modern ones, though they make a nice safe edge, very soon begin to slip and not cut at all

these last a lot longer, the real downside is they get a bit rusty and mangy looking very quickly

you buy cheap, you buy twice!

what sort of processor does it have?

can I stream media to my 46 inch samsung LE46B650, and does it encode files on the fly or would that cost more ...would i be better off transcoding with a lancashire peeler.

(sorry im just that way out today.)

Nope. Utter crap, these things. Break in no time.

I went and bought the JML electric one. Bliss.

You need a pair of Oxo Good Grips. I've bought loads of cheap tin openers but the Oxo pair are the best tenner I've ever spent.

These type of openers are rubbish, dont waste your money.
#16
They're a damn site better than the more expensive one I bought from Tesco awhile back opened one can then it started slipping.

These are ideal for camping!
#17
i hate these so difficult to work I like the man opener the one u stab in the tin and work round always works
#18
better than nothing, I would say these are single use, bloddy frustrating when you cant open a can o beans.

Just had to check this thread out.

After years of buying fancy expensive can openers, I bought one of these at the weekend for 42p at Wilko's. Best tin opener I have had in ages.

My tin openers always go at the rotating handle which drives the wheels. not much chance of that happening with these.

Not pretty, looks crap in my kitchen, but works.

:roll:No, it's the same as it was when I bought it except it's a bit grubbier. It's made in England by "Probus". Before I bought this I'd owned a cheap butterfly opener that didn't last a week. My girlfriend got me an expensive one that didn't last many months either.

If they're carrying the brand name "Probus" I can strongly recommend them.

The Butterfly tin opener design is far more effective than anything developed since its invention, and even better if it is made by Probus - these are sharper and last even longer. They are easy to use, even if you have RSI or Carpal Tunnel problems. Do not be seduced by fancy tin opener designs at inflated prices!
