It's not a deal.

You need to read up on these specific batteries.

They have a lifetime of 1/20th the equivalent quality branded alkalines eg Duracell.

So in a device taking 2 AA's for example you would have to use 40 of these approx vs 2 Duracell's.

So £4 for 55 is not actually a good deal. IMHO.

Funny I've used both and never found that, doesn't seem a huge difference in my torch.

I have been using the Kodak Alkaline ones (link below) in my Wii Remote for years and they're great, never had any problems and they have a seriously long battery life. Great value for money for 6 for a £1, yet alone 30 for £4 now with your deal. Thanks for sharing consumerway:)

Hang on peeps. Nowhere do I see mention of ALKALINE batteries in the OP or blurb. Look like zinc carbons to me.

That's why the person you are quoting stated 6 for a £1, that's for alkaline, which are also included in this deal. You can get some zinc chloride and some alkaline.

The 11 for a pound ones aren't. The 4 or maybe 6 for a £1 are alkaline ones.

Go on the Poundland website (link below) and wait for the main image to change to the second one. It says "Kodak Battery Packs, Buy Any 4 Get One Extra Free, *Or £1 Each (in small writing)" LOL, I can't be bothered to upload and paste in a screenshot, hence there's the text. :D
