Stole it from my post on the Nokia Lumia 735 deal. Well done.

What's the cheapest phone you could buy to get the free fitbit? It's not really a deal if you don't post any prices ;)
#3
would have bought it from the o2 store but it is not listed in the valid retailer.

EE is the cheapest for a 735 at £109 if you call them.

What do you have to ask for upon phoning them to be eligible for that deal?, thanks.

Thanks for the reply, but that was not the question I asked!...I know how to get the fitbit offer :)

I was wanting to know how you get from EE the Nokia 735 for £109 (it is £129+£20 top up online) I was wondering what you have to ask them on phoning to get the £109 offer/and or eligibility for such.

I just rang EE asked for PAYG Sales, £109.99 is their price, other Nokia lumias are on offer too, but only the lower end phones. In the other 735 thread some have paid just £109.99 Others have had to pay delivery at £6.99.

Thanks, did you need to be an existing EE PAYG customer though for that? I am currently on Virgin (Sim only contract) so my SIM would work with EE (Virgin Piggy Back off EE)

Thanks for the heads up, I just rang PAYG sales and they did need an EE/Orange/T-Mobile number to get the discount - handy that I still have the box from an old ZTE Skate (remember them ?) I bought from Argos in the £50 deal years ago, right in front of me - I rattled off the SIM number (god knows what the mobile number is as I never used it !) from the box and she told me it was unregistered but then gave me the discount ! I paid £109.99 no top up fee, no delivery charge ! They are OOS at the moment but I asked them to take payment and send as soon as they have stock. Hopefully will get the Fitbit ting as well and flog it to get the phone down to about £60 all in - bargain !

Apparently, you have to be an existing PAYG customer, rather than just an existing EE customer. Got the impression that the ignorant Georgie on the other end of the phone really didn't want to sell anything to anybody though.

"What's this deal that you've apparently seen then?"
"You say that you're an existing customer, give us yer number to prove it like"

Great deal if you can get it though!

I have EE Business lines, never had any PAYG with them and didn't even give my phone number, they offered it to me for £109.99 + Delivery.

All I did was rang and asked for a price, might be worth trying again?

Yeah, I think I might do that.

I don't personally see the difference between selling a new PAYG phone to a contract customer or an existing PAYG customer.

Have you got an EE line, ring 150 free, then say you want to speak to PAYG sales, they will transfer you. Then say you want to buy a PAYG 735 handset for yourself, family or a friend.

It's business for them at the end of the day so don't see why they wouldn't want to sell something, I noticed I have a had a few shirty advisors in the past so just hung up and called again.

After looking into all missing apps, seems like the final deal breaker for me is that you cannot get Virgin Medias smart call app for Windows Phone, and after people have been asking for over 2 years they still have not released one.

Wow, I don't think I've ever gone to so much effort to get a phone!

I called again and after spending 25 minutes either on hold or being passed between the wrong departments, I was told that I couldn't get the offer because there are different offers for contract and PAYG customers.

It then occurred to me that I had a PAYG SIM (doh!) that I had used when I originally wanted to see if EE coverage was better than 3 in my office.

Called back with the details of that SIM and got the offer straight away, was told that I had to buy £20 top up as well, but the nice lady waived that.

I imagine that it was the PAYG aspect that finally made me successful, but it was also the first time that I had spoken to a lady, so it could be that my hot, manly tones are more pleasing to a female ear... 8)

I now have 21 days to wait for delivery though... :|

Thanks!

I cancelled my order and future purchases of any Windows Phone device as the Jawbone UP24 is not compatible (Yet) with that platform, so sticking with Android for a while.

It's crazy, you ask companies that have yet to release any app for the Windows phone platform and there never seems to be any concrete plans...I have tried Moto (for motorway service discounts) and I have tried Freesat (for programming my freesat box to record whilst out), my wife has tried Quidco, also googling about other apps draws the same, never any concrete plans.

Yet whenever you ask on here you get a lot of Windows Phone fans saying they have all the apps they need.....

They must not like discount apps and electronic control apps is all I can think.

I tried to get a 735 over phone sale and they were offering it at £109 with a previous PAYG sim, but it seems they're out of stock.
However, the guy offered me a Nokia Lumia 830 for the same price, so could be a deal for someone
He said they were gonna drop the price of the 830 soon, so from ~£200 to £109 (can't find a link for EE selling 830)

Seriously? If so that is a truly incredible deal! How'd you go about your conversation to end up being offered that? Want to phone up myself and order if so!

Well I asked about windows phones, because I have been looking to get one as a second phone. Turns out his systems showed no stocks for the 735, so he was gonna recheck them or something and call back. After calling back he offered this deal (which I turned down, I prefer the smaller size of the 735 and the OLED screen).

Which number did you phone? You on contract at the mo or PAYG? Sorry for the questions but I'm going to ring them up when I get home from work!

I rang up yesterday after reading this and apparently I was on their waiting list for the next shipment but they have now stopped taking orders as they no longer sell this model anymore. I was told they had no idea why mine had not been allocated and sent out to me and will find out today. Fingers crossed they don't have one for me and upgrade me to the 830 at no extra cost - they have already taken £109 but no delivery charge and no top up fee ...
#38
I rang back again yesterday after waiting for a call back that never materialised. After my complaint annd demand for a 830 they somehow 'miraculously' found me a 735 and I received it today. I asked the stroppy git on the phone yesterday about unlocking and he said - so chance have to wait 6 months. I checked ebay and the charge is £25 but to try and put another SIM to see if it will unlock - inserted my three SIM into it and it worked without needing to be unlocked !
