Voted hot for the detailed description, even thought a pineapple is only 50p in Morrisons.

Ours had this offer a few months ago! It's a brilliant slicer. I don't know the specific name but... It's a piece of plastic (in white) with a handle at the top. You push it through the middle of the pineapple and twist the handle, it skins it and cuts the fruit in perfect (and I mean perfect!) circles. I was amazed. It feels cheap but it does the job brilliantly!

I've never heard of 'peeling' a pineapple before?!

Pineapples take a while to cut up, you have to cut the outside, cut it into quarters, then cut the core from each quarter, finally cut them to smaller pieces. With a slicer (if it's the same one) you cut the top off and then twist it in, then cut it to pieces. May be a waste if you don't eat pineapple often and haven't tried the tool myself, but at that price it seems a good deal, if it's what I'm thinking of.
