This tip is further to a pervious thread found at http://www.hotukdeals.com/deal/55925/free-airtime-with-payg-phones-from-/

I just bought a new Samsung E250 mobile phone at 9.98 pounds. The steps are as below:

1. Log onto your virgin mobile account (if you don't have, just open one and you'll get 2 pounds credit on your existing number).

2. Click on the link on the left: Your rewards with Red, it will bring you to next page.

3. Scroll down to find "BUY A PHONE" button, then you'll find all PAYG phones which prices is 10 pounds cheap in comparison with the original price.

4. Select your phone and add it into your basket.

5. Open another IE window, log onto your quidco account, find Virgin Mobile's link. Click on it.

6. In the new window, check your basket and you'll find the phone you added before. It shows the lower price, not the normal price.

7. Check out and place the order normally. You'll receive the phone in the next working day delivered by Linx.

8. don't forget to check your 8 pounds of quid cashback.

I go through the steps above and bought the Samsung E250 at 34.99 pounds. Practically, considering the 20 pounds Top-up voucher and 8 pounds of quidco's cashback, it costs me only 9.98 pounds.

It will be useful for any existing Virgin mobile user.

BTW, the phone is locked to Virgin.

My first but little complicated deal finding. Hopen somebody would enjoy it.

voted cold as the title price includes quidco cashback not actual price

i think the reason you get £10 off is because they won't send you a sim card (fair enough though as a lot of people will have the freebie ones from virgin).

i bought the e250 a few months ago from the link and it was £45 after cashback, so this is a great deal. the only problem i have with the phone is that the baterry cover was really difficult to remove, so i returned it.

Thats actually a good thing you don't want someone to easily nick your phone and change the simcard.

i have a e250 myself i got it for around £40 when they only just came out on o2 as if your an existing customer of o2 everytop up gives you a reward of a discount on a phone i had £40 pounds worth so i got the phone cheap, its still under its 12 month warrenty and is covered as at the moment it knocks itself off and wont turn on time to time due to something internal on the phone although i could take it apart and fix it myself id break the warrenty so i wouldn't bother, ill get it fixed after xmas.

Another handy tip is it only costs £10 to get it unlocked and if you want a code from the network virgin charges £15 which is taken from your credit, i personally done mine myself so i didn't have to pay a penny as i had aload of unlocking and repair equip back then.

Quidco never paid up for my Virgin order either... So I use topcashback now, I believe they offer the same amount.

As for the battery cover being too tight, well, it was so tight that i couldn't even remove it to insert my sim card/the battery, hence why I returned it.

yea i will admit when i got the phone i nearly lost a finger nail taking it off and i thought i might have been pushing the cover the wrong way as there was no indication on how to remove back cover. its all in the technique tho of removing it.

Anyone whois planning on getting this phone id recomend getting a crystal casing from ebay for about £3 delivered its quite handy as if you push the screen you can actually crack the screen (i aint as stupid to try it) but ive seen it on many before where people slid up too hard, another thing is make sure the phone isn't slid up when your removing the casing as ive been given about 4 in the past to repair where someones actually broke the phone in half.

The headset that comes with these if you get the one i have is a sterio hands free kit and the quality of them is amazing as although the clip came off them i use the mp3 player at work and the heaset beats my £30 pair of sony earphones.

Virgin mobile not tracked for me on last couple of orders via quidco, also if doing it via the account, i also had order knocked back saying to ring them about confirming payment details when using upgrade area, looks almost like the standard orange reply...

Virgin Mobile have never paid out on my quidco even though I have used them twice.

Never got my Quidco either.

It's better to judge a deal on the price not including Quidco - then, if you get it, it's a bonus.

it really costs £34.99 but there is free credit and quidco available if it tracks
(not for sure as people have had problems when buying thrrough red)

When you say didnt pay out did the purchase track and validate on Quidco, the reason i ask is that i have just purchased a virgin phone and its up to the validate position. Did you put a ticket in for the transaction to be investigated?

Also I obtained the E250

I HAVE VIRGIN MOBILE ACCOUNT..................BUT I AM GETTING THE FOLLOWING MESSAGE

''Right now, you don't have any money off your next mobile.
Remember if you Pay Monthly, you'll get a free phone when you sign up for a new contract. If you Pay As You Go, check back again soon, your discount is calculated each month.
