Best deals online went out of stock on Monday.

last time they had so called 25% off i queried as to why the discount didnt deduct at the tills,i was told because the 25% had already been deducted from all the wine (hence the yellow shelf edge labels) the POS was very misleading (and i work for tesco)...so,if i buy 6 reduced/special offer wines am i likely to get dissed at the tills again,or is this on top of the already special promos they have running?
#4
its 25% deducted at final total through the tills
#5
will check it out instore as it doesnt seem to be deductiong anything at .com and their wine website already has 25% deducted from the prices shown

So, does this still give a great deal on the wee bottles, as last time it added the two deals together and took 25% off the initial total before the 5 for £4 deal kicked in??

Order online, I have just ordered 18 bottles of Hardys Stamp and used a £10 first order voucher and even with £5 delivery paid £46, works out at £2.56 a bottle BARGAIN
#8
when does the 25% show on my checkout online it is still showing full price
#9
Just returned with bootfull of small bottles on the 4 for £5 offer.

8 bottles of Jacobs Creek at £2.29 = £10 on 4 for £5. Less 25% discount (full price) = £5.42

Equivlalent to 68 pence per bottle !

As far as I know, the 25% deduction for online orders is deducted at point of delivery only,(your front door) so when the goods are delivered the bill is adjusted to show the deal, so your account will be deducted the reduced amount. All tescos online deals work like this, at point of delivery not the checkout, same with the clubcard points, only credited when goods are safely in your pocession.

That was what I was wanting to hear!! Got tons of these last time round - not all drunk.

It's a spiffing deal due to the 25% being taken off the top line price before the 4 for £5 kicks in!

60 bottles of £2.29 wine (2 were actually £2.49)

Total £137.80
Wines 4 for £5 discount £34.45
Wine Discount (25%) £62.80

Total to pay £40.55

Price for bottle wee 67.58p (3 make a full bottle), so £2.03 a bottle equiv + the convenience

The assistants face was priceless, especially when I gave her a £6 off £30 spend for Sainsburys ... che ching.

BTW, its any 6 or more for the discount. Doesn't need to be multiples of 6 either

OK, didn't check that, so still under £3 a bottle.

Can't understand how this isn't hotter, probably too complicated and not Ebay profit as you canny sell booze on Ebay.

Have just been too two tesco extras and got £100 for £30. Perfect for my little boys summer BBQ that my family and friends are always very thirsty at. Problem now is not drinking before august :0

Just got 8 bottles for £5.44, really good deal. Once you take off the VAT and then the duty it works out to them selling them for 11.44 pence per bottle!
£5.44 / 1.2 = £4.533 (vat removed)
£4.53 - (£1.809 x 2) = £0.92 (duty removed on equiv 2 x 75cl bottles)
£0.92 / 8 = £0.1144 per bottle.
Someone is making a big loss, fortunately I think it's Tesco.
