My friend last week went to Thorpe Park, and told me about this offer. Thorpe Park are offering BOGOF on their ANNUAL PASSES. Normally these are £68 for an individual, but because of the offer they are only £34 each. This is pretty good considering that a Day-Pass to Thorpe Park is £35!

You can order/pay/collect your Thorpe Park Annual Pass at the Annual Pass building at the park before entrance.

The offer is available from Monday to Friday, until the end of season.

...Can't get enough of our insanely thrilling rides and attractions? Brave enough to Face Your Fears on SAW - The Ride? Then look no further than the THORPE PARK Annual Pass which gives you a years unlimited entry to the nation's Thrill Capital!

A Thorpe Park Annual Pass also includes 20% off eating and shopping at THORPE PARK!

#3

#4
£68 is for thorpe park only... theres also a merling annual pass which includes alton towers and others for £120... then using the voucher its half price i believe... but seems like u need to be on orange to get it..
#5
oh i just figured out how to use it... just click on the voucher and on the voucher page.. go to voucher lol... i must have done somethin wrong first time as i was directed to orange website..
#6
The voucher says:
"Voucher cannot be used in-conjunction with any other offer, reward/loyalty program,
2 day Pass, Annual Pass, on-line tickets, fastrack purchases, rail inclusive offers, on events or concerts or for Group/advance bookings"

So unless I'm missing something it can't be used for the annual pass? Or is it just my interpretation? I could also say you can't use it if using one of those.

This is the more common offer of 2 for 1 entry, which you can get almost all of the time if you hunt around.

However, this is a much more intriguing offer... that would be a great deal if only someone could confirm it.

The only other post like this on the InterWeb is this http://forum.maniahub.com/index.php?showtopic=5807&pid=64941&st=0&

Can't seem to find anything non-user-generated. :x

I can't see how to get this working, can anyone tell me if this deal is still running?? :whistling:

This is derinately running. My mate picked up two annual passes for the price of one last week.

Another tip is use your buy one get one in free entry on the day and then use the main purchase ticket to get refunded on the annual pass when you buy on the way out.

This means you get two annual passes and one mate in free for the day for the price of one annual pass!!!

Happy times. However, they have closed the single rider queue for saw permanantly!!!!!!

Cheers

I think you can not get the deal online, only available at the annual pass building?
#19
It's probably best to ring thorpe park and ask about the offer before making a trip to get them
#20
Are you sure this deal is not just for people that are already in the park ?

I remember that in Legoland works out like that which means that you can upgrade you daily ticket to an annual pass for XXX.

The question is whether you can get to the Annual Pass Building without having a ticket.

Still good deal I think, but probably not as good as it sounds.
#21
My mate picked up his ttwo annual passes before we went in as I was running a bit late. He did get it from the office though. Don't know about on line.

Definately available and I am gutted as I only got one annual pass last year ;-)
#22
So this offer is only available if bought at Thorpe Park itself?

My friends are going soon and I might go with them, so I wanna make sure this offer is definitely on if I do decide to go or not.
#23
As suggested in post 20 it's best to ring them in advance.

It is - and it's even better than I thought it would be.

I have just got back from Thorpe Park with six Annual Passes (I have a large family) at a cost of just £20 each!

I am still wondering if the girl who served me made a mistake, but I was given a full refund on the cost of entry today as a part payment for one Pass with the other one free! I know the mathematics doesn't work - but the net result was £40 in total for each pair of tickets at the Park today.

I have the receipt in from of me for one pair (in case anyone can make sense of it) and it reads as follows:

- 1 Adult -30.43
2 Thorpe Park Annual Passes - 65.22

Subtotal 34.79
Sales Tax 5.21
Total £40.00

So, I paid £120 for 6 Annual Passes. Since the cost of a single adult entry is £35 - it's cheaper to buy an Annual Pass than pay the full price on just one further visit. I know that hardly anyone pays the full price (with all the 2 for 1/Tesco/etc offers), but even so this represents incredibly good value.

They took the £30.44 (your original ticket price) off the £65.22 (for BOGOF 2xAnnual passes) and added VAT to the result.

Your forgetting to add on the 30.43 you originally paid for entry though. So you really paid (£40+£30.43)/2 = £35.22 each ticket or £70.83 for two

You don't really save anything by doing it that way (sorry) as you could have just gone and bought the annual ticket and then used that to enter on the day

Again, why not just buy 2x BOGOF annual passes and use them to enter that day. You still get two annual passes and you and your mate get in that day as well

Do they have your name or picture on? eg could someone else use it or do they ask for ID?

Not quite true in my case!

I actually didn't pay anything (well - any cash) to access the Park today. I used Tesco vouchers, but the girl on the desk had some full priced tickets which she used (they had to be scanned) to provide the discount.

However, your point is well made. It would be cheaper to buy the BOGOF tickets before entering the Park , rather than pay the full price (who does this by the way?) and use the full priced tickets to get the discount.

Yes, they have your picture on them (very poor quality) and the terms expressly forbid use by any third party.

They also take a note of your address and the age of each Pass Holder - so I assume they make some sort of ID check upon entry.
#33
I had an annual pass. Most of the time you scan your pass through a machine at entry. I guess they may check that the person looked like the pass however in one year and about 25 visits they never did.

I have no intention of allowing anyone else to use my family's passes - but I have to say that there is no way that anyone could possibly check our identities against the pictures, which are very faint and blurred.

One concern is that the bar code on the back is itself faint and poorly printed in places, so I am not sure that the scanner at the Park will recognise them!

25 visits in one year shows great enthusiasm (!) - and obviously that represents very good value indeed.

I would have loved this offer then certainly :-) I live near and pass the park on the way to and from my kids house so would often pop in at the end of the day when the park was quiet. That's the big advantage of the annual pass you don't have to make a day of it.
#36
Indeed, whenever I have to head round the M25 I pop in and hardcore stealth single rider.

Did it 10 times in a row once and felt well sick ;-x
#37
Anyone interested in buying just 1 annual pass by any chance?
#38
can someone confirm how to get this deal. Do you put in 1 ticket needed on the annual pass BOGOF page, and this allows you to pick 2 up? I have tried putting 2 in thinking it would knock £75 off, but it doesnt. Not very clear me thinks:thinking:
