Basically collect 10 from 21 different tokens and send £12.99 to cover p&p.

Seems quite steep for a freebie!

This is for pick up in store, they had a bunch of them next to the papers. You do not need to send off any coupons etc

if it is the case that you get 15 books for £1.90 then this is an insanely good deal.
#11
So did you have to collect all the tokens and then picked up the books from Morissons or just buy today's daily telegraph and pick up 15 free books instore ?
#12
perhaps they were supposed to just give one book per day? and the Shewsberry store have given them all out at one by mistake?????
#13
I saw this at Borders Islington. I don't think you get all 15 books in one go. Sounds ludicrous.

How to claim
There are three ways to claim your Horrible books:

Option 1: Claim a different Horrible Geography book each day until Friday in a participating WHSmith high street store. Complete a form from those printed in-paper until September 28 and take it to your nearest participating store to exchange it for that day's book.

Option 2: To claim all five books, collect five of the seven differently numbered tokens printed in-paper until September 30 and attach them to a completed form from those printed in-paper until September 28. Post them with a cheque for £4.99 (to cover p&p). You can claim up to four book collections with one form and five tokens.

Option 3: To claim all 15 books from the Horrible Histories, Horrible Science and Horrible Geography series, continue to collect 10 of the 21 different tokens printed in-paper until September 30 and attach them to a completed form. Post with a cheque for £12.99 (to cover p&p). Please note this package may require collection from your post office if you are unable to receive it at the time of delivery.

Send postal orders to: Telegraph Horrible Promotion, Admail 3795, Birmingham B1 1ZA. Cheques to be made payable to Telegraph Horrible Promotion. Orders must be received by October 12, 2007. Allow 28 days for delivery from receipt of order. The WHSmith instore offer available in the UK only, excluding Ireland.

I did not collect any tokens. I walked into store, bought the paper and was given 15 books for free by a women dressed up in Telegraph hat and T-shirt. She probably had about 100 packs of the 15 books to give out.

Could these be leftovers from the token deal in the link above?
#17
anyone verify from a different Morrisons or other store (and list which)?
#18
tied the Livingston store, and they did not have any books, also on the newspaper it does not state anything about the book offer.
#19

As stated above, there was no coupon, it was a pick up when you bought the paper. I doubt you'll find anywhere that has stll got them now though. It appears it was a deal perhaps just in Midlands area.

I'd have followed that link, but cant work out what the stars represent. It *aint* 'telegraph'!
And for the poster who replied to my question about the coupon with "there isn't one", how does that work alongside the quoted text on the Telegraph website that says the following (and where's the sodding 'completed form' too!!!!

[INDENT]There are three ways to claim your Horrible books:

the offer the OP was refering to was a PICK UP OFFER. it did not need you to collect the coupons, or send off for the books. they were in store next to the paper along with a telegraph rep. however having been to the shrewsbury store myself and got these books i also have the newspaper and i don't think there is a coupon in it as there is no mention of this offer in the paper.

just looked at the page u got the info from if you continue reading you get to the folowing line....
'Orders must be received by October 12, 2007.'

sorry to disapoint you!

To clear up any confusion about the mentioned voucher (although it's a bit late now!!) last September the telegraph ran the promotion where you could pick up a book each day from WHsmith or send off the tokens. This expired at the end of October 2007.
I'm guessing as schools go back this week they decided to run another promotion to get rid of some more of the books as an instore promo!

Sorry it's a link to eBay but it's been censored for some reason.
Anyway, have a look on eBay if you really want them.
