This is a deal from both Sainsburys and PC world.

Firstly buy the game for the PS3 solus in Sainsburys for £10, then in PC World they have the PS2 version of Buzz with wired buzzers priced at £10, thing is that they scan at £5. The buzzers work perfectly with the PS3 version of the game and although they're wired, this is actually a positive as it means you don't have to continuously replace the batteries of the wireless ones.

Also you get the PS2 version of the game which you can either keep this and play it on your PS2/PS3 if it's backwards compatible or sell on.

Easy.

note. this was easy for me as I did it at the Braehead, Glasgow stores where PC World and sainsburys are very near to each other

No stock of the PS3 solus in Sainsburys infact no real games. Good find on the second.

Unfortunatley not a lot of stock of the PS2 with buzzers as I have been looking but I noticed Basingstoke has some online.

Can you use two sets of buzzers, and play 8-player?

Interestingly, this is what it says on the box too - but you CAN play with up to eight players offline.

We reguarly play with 8 on Buzz for the PS3 (using 4 wired and 4 wireless controllers). I would imagine it also works with 8 wired or 8 wireless (shouldn't make any difference).

Can you use the PS2 buzzers with the PS3 or do you need different buzzers as we have a PS3 thats backward compatable?

Good to hear, how so is it 8 players on the screen or this couch mode it mentions?

I have buzz, and would pay that for wired controllers.

So 8 player with two sets of buzzers sounds like its do-able. Now just need to find another set!

Can use the PS2 for the PS3.

Cold deal really. Post states for PS3 which had drawn me in as I want the wireless buzzers, go in to see that you are posting the PS2 buzzers which are hard to find in PC World for a fiver.

No as long as your PS3 has a spare USB port there will be no problem.

Title is a rather misleading i agree.

8 player is ok on PS3 but bear in mind that you cannot play either pie fight or point stealer. Still £5 for wired buzzers is a steal. I paid £17.99 for my extra wireless ones a month ago but they now seem to be a lot more expensive.

frankly, the best thing about the new ps3 buzz is the wireless controllers. i think i'd get too fed up with the wired ones to get the game out much, but the wireless ones are amazing.

ok - so can someone explain this 8 player offline thing? if you had 8 wireless buzzers, would they interfere with each other? are there 8 players on screen? how does points break down in fastest finger first?

cos i really like the idea of 8 players, before we've always had to team up...

See my earlier reply, fastest finger scores points in a countdown style. Think it counts down from 500 points and the quicker you answer the more points you get so the scores are often a lot closer than 2-4 player.

I apologise for the misleading title. It's been edited. I posted it as I thought it was a good and very cheap way of securing the playable game but obviously the majority disagree.

Nevermind, I benefited from it

Which is the Buzz game that comes with Buzzers for £5 at PC World?

I've had a look on the website and the only one they list for PS2 is the Hollywood Quiz Bundle but it's marked as £19.56.

My PC World is a half hour drive and it's not worth it to find the item I want is out of stock!
