Price is pretty good.

Any advice on Bytestor? Haven't used any of their products before - usually Kingston...
#3
It looks good, the reviews are quite good, it's a class 4 and the price is dirty cheap...

heat added!

Thanks for this, Ive been looking to upgrade my 4gb card.

I remember the days when 32mb would do the job rofl xD
#5
Sandisk Extreme all the way

I'm not saying this card/vendor is dodgy, but be very careful when buying flash memory especially on fleabay, there are a lot of fakes about. it is surprisingly easy to take a low capacity card and make it *appear* to be a higher capacity one, and only be noticed when the card got full and files got corrupted.
#7
good deal heat added, but be wary if wanting to record HD quality, this was no good in my camera needs to be class6.

For my tz7 I use class 6 managed to get 1 Inc quidco for £19.50

I take it it was a 16gb if so any links to that please!
#9
tz7 is perfectly happy using a class 4 card.
#10
Althought it says ByteStor on the sticker, peel it back and it'll probably have a different brand underneath, or even if you look on the back - I've had "non-brand" cards from Amazon that have turned out to be Sandisk or Toshiba.

adata do some, certainly exist in US market (amazon and newegg) but dont rememeber seeing any in UK yet
edit, tried a google and transcend seem to have them in UK according to a couple of stores (not heard of them so wont say)

I would get the PNY 16GB SDHC, I thrashed it using torrent reading and writing to it for a whole week and it was fine! Besides that performs above Class 6.

Excellent price considering they sell the 8Gb [class4] version for £11.50! http://www.amazon.co.uk/ByteStor-SDHC-Class-Memory-Card/dp/B0013J9P1C/ref=pd_sim_ce_8

I have just bought an 8Gb [class 6] Kingston card from 7dayshop http://www.7dayshop.com/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=777_6&products_id=102738 for my wife's new Panny TZ7, but might get this [twice as large] class 4 card as well now

Have some H&R ;-)

Well, according to the website http://shop.kodak.co.uk/store/ekconseu/en_GB/pd/productID.147429300 it takes SDHC cards OK, but you would need to check the manual to make sure there wouldn't be a capacity size limitation - this card is really rather large at 16Gb.

As for the different classes, the higher the class the quicker the data transfer rate http://www.sdcard.org/developers/tech/speed_class/

With my wife's TZ7 camera for example, it needs at least a Class 4 card to enable it to use the high definition video option - a lower class card just won't write the data quickly enough.

HTH :)

Any good for Readyboost on Windows 7? Or has that functionality been voted pointless.

Class 2, 4 and 6 are compatible with the M381 with no size restrictions.

hope this helps

Cheers guys.

Now I know what the numbers on the front of the card mean.
Kodak do a Class 4 16gb card as an accessory so should be ok, Have ordered from Amazon along with True Blood dvd set.
Just need to get it connected up to USB now! Maybe this digital stuff is not so difficult after all.

I'm using Windows 7 on what Dell call an 'unsupported' Studio 17 with 3GB RAM, 256MB HD3650 and a T5750 (2.0GHz C2D). It's rapid - readyboost might have been useful in Vista, but I cannot tangibly see any reason to require it in Win 7.
