write speed 15 mb/s read 30 mb/s
good reviews
Got it, found its formatted to be 15GB which is about right.
Transfer speeds of 15MB/s Write and 30MB/s Read.

for the price i think this item is the bees knees, I have other memory sticks that look identical to this and the transfer rate is terrible.
This on the other hand has a very good transfer rate on pc and mac so all in all a very good buy.

Agreed. 7dayshop 16Gb drive is a couple of pounds cheaper, but write speed is barely 1/4 of the dataferry's.

This looks better to me twice as much memory for not much more.

It's very unlikely that the speeds listed are still absolutely accurate across the board as the last 2 a red and a pink ones (from indigostarfish stock) were under those specs, with write speed @9-10 meg and read at 24. My hardware is not faulty. Tested on numerous pc's (hdtach from 1). I have numerous flash pens including some very fast SLC ones.

It's pot luck with speeds on the dataferry from amazon at the minute (I would def buy the blue one) so if your mainly buying it for the speed you may well be disappointed*. (Personally for £13.79 even if the blue ones have gone the way of the red & pink ones 9-10 meg write and 24mb read is still pretty fast compared
to some of the competitions MLC offerings)

If you end up with 9meg write and 24meg read it ain't the end of the world but it is still quite a drop on the write speed (specs) (well 5 meg:lol) it's alot though

The one above (red one) is broke now used in xbox360 once and .. pc use is write cache failure

Yes, but there's a reason it's much cheaper: it's much slower.

I have a 16GB ByteStor and I''ve measured it at 13.4MB/sec write and 23.1MB/sec read whereas that cheap 32GB manages 3.69MB/s write and 11.5MB/s read according to one post on that deal page.

read the reviews, one of the guys said it died within a month, I would rather spend the same money on something trustworty like Sandisk

these are great, I have the 16gb blue one and 700mb file takes about 2 minutes to transfer

Stick with these unless you have limitless patience. I had 2 on the ones you mention and they are so slow that I gave them away because i couldnt be bothered with them. They are one only ones i ever had which windows didnt offer to use for a speedup. If these Bytestor ones come anywhere near advertised speed, then they are much better. I guess it depends on your needs though, if you really dont care about speed, then i guess twice the capacity may suit you. It would take you nearly ten times as long to fill it.

I have a 2gb one, the plastic cap disintegrated after two years of use, the pen drive is fine though.

Good kit. Orderede.

Very fast drive. Been using it for a few months now without any issues. Especially good for playing Divx movies etc on a suitable DVD player. No audio/visual stuttering compared to a slower speed pen drive I used to use

Only way it could be improved was if the cap was attached. I'm sure I'll lose it one day!

Isn't that about 5.8 MB per second, or is this measured in megaBITS?

Very fast but, I have misplaced one of my caps, how do I get a replacement?
