Just a cautionary tale. If you're getting the ByteStor card for a digital camera hang on to your receipt. I've had two of these (one for my camera and one for partner's) and they kept, occasionally saving a photo as corrupt. Problem was this would then wipe out all the photos already on the card.

It may not happen with every camera but I would never trust a ByteStor card again. Just my two penn'orth.

Thanks for the post, its def a good deal.

I'm not going on hols for a while, so I will probably wait it out longer for the next bargain. Memory prices on the fall.

i also have a lot of branded sd cards not just bytestor (kingston, viking, toshiba to name a few)..and i also did experience occasional error messages from aforementioned brands not just bytestor( e.g. askin' if you want it to be formatted where in fact i have loads of pix in it ). It must have been an isolated incident...there could be a lot of factors to consider as it contains electrical components. It could be equipment, environment related(static elec. etc.) or some other unknown factors. Hence...as for my own viewpoint let us not blame solely the product manufacturer...I felt sorry about your experience with bytestor:-( ...nevertheless thanks for your cautionary tale.

Mine's for the Wii so I'll see how it goes.

Understand what you're saying scottie but using my original IBM Microdrive and then combinations of Viking and Integral cards there's no problem. As a test we tried the ByteStor cards again and the corrupted files came back. They were returned to Amazon in the end.

Hopefully no one will have any problems with this card.

Cautions: Sorry for disappointing you all. But it seems not a 80 high speed card. See http://www.amazon.co.uk/ByteStor-High-Speed-Secure-Digital-Card/dp/B000B668FE/sr=1-5/qid=1166099177/ref=sr_1_5/202-8948051-1259041?ie=UTF8&s=electronics for its high speed counterpart.

I have noticed the picture. But the pictures of products in Amazon do not accord with the actual products occasionally. See http://www.amazon.co.uk/Kingston-Technology-Secure-Digital-SD/dp/B0007U9KE0/sr=1-5/qid=1166100059/ref=sr_1_5/202-8948051-1259041?ie=UTF8&s=electronics for example.

Got your point there toplch! Any idea what the speed rating is?:?
suspended#22
I think it should be a normal one. Data Write speed : 2.0MB/s; read speed should be a little faster than that. See http://www.bytestor.com/dynamic_flash.asp?pageid=3 for detail.
