Seems a good price for this well regarded drive, from digging through previous posts seems to give around 25MB/s read and 15MB/s write which is much faster than most of the bargain priced 16Gb drives around at the moment. Also available in blue and pink but at higher prices...

Been looking for good value drive like this. Excellent comments posted around the net about this USB key. This post came just in time to stop me buying a poorly rated Sandisk Cruzer Blade at £14.29 so thanks for that. Ordered and voted hot.

The speeds make this a much better buy than the 5mb/s bargain basement ones.

If your looking to buy a 16GB USB you'll be had pressed to find a faster stick for the value..

Got this stick.... very happy, highly recommended
#4
Bought a red one and a pink one the red was £14.49 so now even better value . Pink one is still same price though.
#5
NIce one, will be using this for my 360.

Got one for 16 Squid a month ago, pretty fast, get one, because your worth it.

I'd spotted this at this price a couple of days back but was showing as 1-2months lead time, then suddenly appeared in stock today, now has reverted to 1-2months... so it may well be available sooner than you think... glad I got my order in ealier though when it was in stock!

Ordered one thanks for Post :D Heat

Bought this a few months ago for £16. Very good drive for the money imo. Speeds are solid.

edit -- 1-2 months wait... prices will probably have dropped by that time anyway...

I second the high speed argument. I myself tested it at 25MB read and 14.94MB write. Highly recommened.

Thanks ordered.

Just had mine delivered. Great drive, cost a quid more when I ordered. I have a few drives with this housing. Just bear in mind that it is not the most robust design ever and what appears to be metal is just grey plastic. The cap is very loose, too.
Never bothered me, but others might grumble.

LOL

It drops a single pound and next thing you know Amazon are out of stock of it

Jeez some people on here really must be tight trying to save £1!

Cheers OP - excellent price and speedy drive so ordered...

Anyone who has this, please tell if it has a flashing led or not... I have a sandisk one that has a bright orange flashing led which I find very annoying...

I have the pink version and the LED is located on the inside at the end of the stick and yes, flashes very brightly. However at this price as well as the speed, I can live with some flaws.

My speed benchmark tests: http://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/bytestor-16gb-usb-high-speed-datafe/797675/?page=2#post9844749

Edit: Because a picture is worth a thousand words:

The actual LED light looks red, but comes off yellow/orange in these photos. The red version of the Dataferry may be slightly darker.

thank you. I really appreciate the effort
I have a sandisk cruzer that flashes orange and it's very annoying when used in the tv (samsung with usb slot) . I know the cheap sandisk that was on sale this days doesn't flash ... but it's slow...

Same here.

On the 1-2 month wait thing, you could order it then cancel if nothing happens within 2 weeks. Amazon's stock estimates are very rough and, as someone above said, it could pop into stock at any time.

On the light front, just use some black insulating tape to "stealth" it.

Seemingly the latest batch are 10 meg write average

Thanks for the tool tip.

Managed to get it working now and you are right i only get 20meg in hdtach.
My corsair Voyager was 28meg so a little dissapointed.
I will have to use it as storage rather than main drive

i tried the one i just received from amazon on that h2testw and got these results -_-

Warning: Only 256 of 15264 MByte tested.
Test finished without errors.
You can now delete the test files *.h2w or verify them again.
Writing speed: 9.26 MByte/s
Reading speed: 16.1 MByte/s
H2testw v1.4

im dissapointed as its no where near the speeds stated in this thread >:(
