Logitech G400s @ Amazon @ £29.99

7
I´m looking for a mouse for my desktop. I had a G400 previously, and that was great, so now saw that the G400s is same price. Price has dropped another £3, is it now time to order?

I have the MX518 which is starting to go wonky so can anyone recommend a similar Logitech model to replace it with as they no longer manufacture the MX518.

Depending on your "wonky" issues, send an email to Logitech support even if it's out of your 3yr warranty, they're damn good.

Mine developed the USB fault where the cable connecting into the top of the mouse becomes faulty and constantly disconnects/connects on the system, I was out of warranty initially they said this butI didn't even have to complain just suggested it was out of warranty by a few months, that it's a well known issue on the internet (it is, I could have fixed it if I could have been bothered) replaced for free with this (actually had an up-to spend of 60 euro, but this was the most expensive) which is comparable to the mx518 and just as good.

The g400 mouse is recommended a lot.
I have the g400s, I just thinks it's ok, and that's coming from someome with a cheapo perixx mx1000 mouse. The scroll wheel is messed up though, I wouldn't recommend but only because of the scroll wheel.

Good, what else could I get around £20-30 mark? ... as haven't ordered yet.

No it hasn't this is being sold by C-Gear. There is also one being sold by Shiny Hardware for the same price.

OH, really sorry, didn't even see that. I'm glad because I was gutted when I found out it's price changed haha, thanks. By the way, do you know what I need to buy if both my 3-pin slots are taken on my motherboard? I forgot what the name of the wire was.. some sort of converter.

If your using a IR 3D TV like the older 2011 models, these are the glasses you will need. Truth be told, the bluetooth glasses are a much better deal but most people seem to have IR version 3DTVs, so this is probabably your best standard option until those crazy clearance/sale prices on manufacturer glasses.

I have a pair of these and they work pretty well. The only issue is they are not comfortable to wear on top of regular prescription glasses for a long period of time so i usually have to wear my contact lenses to avoid that issue. Overall though, good value for money. :)

do they work with sony ok

If it's an IR receiver then yeah they should.

These are IR the others are cheaper but they are bluetooth, so you comment is meaningless.

Try here, not any description but they are IR and universal:

The description of that states it only works with Samsung, Panasonic, LG & Sony. These work with more branded TV's. Also if you want to buy just one of those it would come to £16.99 (with P&P) and they look cheap compared to these, I actually have a couple of these for my 46' Toshiba and they're fantastic.

If you have problem and live close to Coventry I can help you.

Surprised about the cold votes OP ... cheapest original I've seen.

Have read the Humax (sp?) ones also work, but not with all models. Also, if there is a software update on the TV Samsung could disable drivers for compatible ones... or so I read on forums when I was researching for alternatives to official the one.

If the Edimax ones work, then bargain .. but still not a reason to cold vote this one.
