Cadbury Creme Eggs 6 Pack £0.76 @ Waitrose
I thought this was a bargain. First post so be especially sweet to me (pardon the punn)
Found this in the John Lewis food hall on Oxford Street (London) which is from Waitrose. I think this is nationwide (see below) but its listed on the net at that price too:

Great steel if you love this little things, cheap and in quantity!

Ive rang the Wellington Branch (15:49) of Waitrose (nr Taunton, Somerset) - they have plenty in stock and the deal should be nationwide.

They are actually pretty disgusting.
Long way to go just to get some creme eggs?
07/12 for the Creme Eggs I got, but obviously it'll keep for ages after that.

Tee hee hee! You were too fast for me!

My friend gave me a bag of like...15 caramel eggs from last year and they were over a year out of date; ate THE LOT in one day and I didn't get sick, also...pretty much 50% of my diet atm is on out of date food so don't worry about the sell by date, pipsqueak.

If you can eat 15 caramel eggs in one day without feeling sick, I'd say you've got a relatively strong stomach anyway ;)

To be honest with you...I could eat and drink anything and probably not get sick...I don't even remember the last time I got sick from eating food in fact. Haha.

And why's that? Ignorance is really isn't doing this nation any favors.
Eating out of date food is great for 2 reasons...
1. You cut down on WASTED food.
2. You get to buy stuff for about a third of their usual selling price. I got 3 of those BIG bags of doritos for £1 and they taste perfect & I don't get sick; it's a win-win for me but to be fair, I don't mind if so many people are skeptical because it just means me and the few others who have the balls to try out of date food are actually getting fantastic deals. :D
More fool you.
There are a number of things that I would not eat after the "eat by" date, others it depends on the actual condition of the food; as for "best before" dates, they are just that and some foods such as certain tinned products are good for years after the BB date.
I particularly enjoy trying products that I wouldn't dream of buying at full price but at 75% off make a nice change.
Out of date food is perhaps the best everyday deal out there.
NB just bought 25 creme eggs and 5 caramel @ 13p each, mostly to send to a sister who misses them. Thanks OP.
