It's an egg war now, just like the tins of choccies at Christmas. Cadbury's must be loving it.

Next there will be a shortage.

I remember when they were 6d (2.5p) and filled an egg cup, but that was in the old Cadbury's days ;-)
Used to have a sweet shop, and we put these in china egg cups wrapped them in cellophane and sold them for just over a shilling ;-)
But as wages were only about £10 a week I suppose they were expensive then..............
Back to rocking in my chair in the sun.......snooze...........

Makes me feel sick just looking at them. Sorry, can't help it. Far to many as a child I suppose. Once I went into the shop with a case of money and asked for 250,000.

Just wish I ever went to ASDA............. :(

That was my motto when I was a kid:thumbsup:, always ate one too many back then!
They make my teeth feel sugary after one now, and they're not as big as they used to be:x.
Mind you, my husband remembers when "Wagon Wheels" used to be the size of dinner plates:?

They were! They were huge! Maybe that's because we had small hands though.....:)

Lol, it's because WE were smaller of course, we were kids! :)

They've never changed in size.

i just got back from Hulme Asda, they were on 3 for £1.

maybe not changed prices yet?
#20
voted cold.. like i'm gonna go to ASDA instead of morrisons or whatever to save 20p on a creme egg.
#21
I love these deals, no verification of the 20p eggs but 302 degrees.

I sometimes wonder whether the supermarkets make up these posts to get you down there before you realise they aren't true.

Like the £60 Asda trampoline that I wasted an hour of Friday looking for.

Try voting on whether the deal is in general a good deal, not whether it's any use to you or not. Makes the site better and more useful for all of us.

I haven't been recently, but I know both Asda and Morrisons have been selling full-size Easter Eggs for £1. So in the "Creme Egg" Egg box, you get 2 normal size Creme Eggs as well as the much larger and frankly far more delicious milk chocolate egg. This deal is cold in comparison.

It is true, I posted a picture of the receipt hours ago but the mods don't seem to have let it through!

Yep. Chocolate is cheap as chips nowadays. Although chips are actually quite pricey. Perhaps they should make chocolate chips. Not the little bits you get in cookies mind....big chunky chip shop chips. You could put them inside easter eggs and everything.

I just bought 96 from Asda (2 boxes 48 in each) and it cost £19.20. (The whole box doesn't scan have to be done individually)

That was in Bristol, Cribbs Causeway so definitely a deal!

I work at an establishment whihc is about half a mile from Cadbury's in Bournville. They're kind enough to let us use the staff shop.

This time last year they were selling 48 Cadburys Creme Eggs for £1.

Yes, I put on weight.
