Never tried them but seems like a good alternative.

The Caffè Ottavo coffee pods are filled with roasted and freshly ground Italian coffee and are Nespresso® compatible. The artisan-roasted coffee beans are perfectly sealed in air-tight packaging within seconds of being ground, to preserve the delicate aromas of Caffè Ottavo’s fresh Italian coffee.

The selection packs contain;

Intenso Coffee x 30 pods

With a charismatic, vivacious and rich flavour profile, Caffè Ottavo‘s Intenso coffee pod has become a favourite among those who love their coffee strong and creamy. This is an intense, full-flavoured blend, built on the flavour foundations of toasted almonds and dark chocolate. Perfect enjoyed as an invigorating, full bodied espresso, or with foamed milk for a perfect cappuccino.

Intensity: 8/10

Gran Gusto Coffee x 30 pods

Gran Gusto really packs a flavour punch. It’s full-bodied, fruity and aromatic in its flavour profile, making it ideal for cutting though the creaminess of the milk in a bold latte or cappuccino. Perfectly enjoyed with foamed milk as a luxurious caffè latte or cappuccino, or simply as a rich, full-bodied espresso. Caffè Ottavo’s Gran Gusto blend is stunning served with a zesty florentine.

Intensity: 7/10

Sublime Coffee x 30 pods

Caffè Ottavo’s Sublime pods are filled with a blend of the finest quality Arabica coffee from Central and South America, the Horn of Africa and India. Smooth, fragrant and refined flavour notes, with hints of jasmine and rose petal, strong sweet accents, and barely perceptible acidity. Due to its 100% pure Arabica coffee bean composition, Caffè Ottavo’s Sublime blend is simply as smooth as it gets, and won’t leave you with any bitter aftertaste.

Intensity: 5/10

Lungo Coffee x 30 Pods

The Lungo blend contains the same beans as in the popular Intenso blend, but with a slightly courser ground, for a longer extraction of coffee. Perfect enjoyed as a longer 110ml coffee (lungo). Simply adjust your machine if required for a longer pour time, resulting in a longer coffee. The Lungo blend can be enjoyed with added hot water to make an Americano, and with or without a splash of milk or cream. May also be used as the base to a stronger cappuccino.

Intensity: 9/10

Specification:

* Coffee Type: Coffee pods

* Use: In Caffè Ottavo Signature pod machine or any domestic Nespresso® machine

* Pack Includes: 30 x Lungo coffee pods, 30 x Intenso coffee pods, 30 x Gran Gusto coffee pods and 30 x Sublime coffee pods

don't think I'd want to purchase 120 non genuine pods without trying one first, I've used Lidl's range, they are cheaper at 18p each with 3 types to choose from, not as good as genuine but ok for visitors :p

take a look at Fine Coffee Club.
I have used them for ages and they're great. About same price as these buy over 100 for free delivery. They also have special offers regularly. l too have tried lidls own and ok but not much choice

In fact,I think that Lidl have reduced their "Classic" range to £1.49. Not the strongest but tastes just fine. (15p each)

Nespresso is about quality, not price.
Stick to official, I've not had one compatible that has come close.

After converting to Nespresso I did try some copies then the free selection- it's basically good quality coffee or cheap weak crap. Buy the original pods or just drink Nes cafe instant ;)

Agree with the above. You can't beat the original pods.
Taylor's pods are about the best third party pod I've tried, but they're not strong enough.

so we should dump our machines eh and drink instant?????
Now l am no coffee expert but l find that the difference between originalpods and a good compatable (fine coffee club) is similar to the difference between an excellent Marlborough sauvignon blanc and a very good one ie very little

Whats your dispensing success rate with Taylor's? I found 1 in 4 didn't dispense well. Co-op are the best supermarket own brand pods I've tried so far, nothing beats genuine nespresso tho. Oh and Café Royal Espresso Forte (sold in Sainsburys) are pretty nice, Starbucks too.

I agree that " Café Royal Espresso" ones from Sainsburys are good, when they are on offer they work out at 10p per capsule too!
