I think COD has become too fast. I bought and sold Advanced Warfare within a week of release.
Gone are the good old days when killstreaks actually meant something, and hiding in a building rigged with a claymore or two. The game is just too fast now and they've run out of ideas for maps.
An Xbox One and PS4 COD Classic would sell huge, with maps from Modern Warfare 1 and 2, and also Black Ops 1. They're revamping old games like Metro, so surely COD deserves a re-visit too.

The only decent COD games were COD 2 and COD advanced warfare.

If you think otherwise then you're a filthy casual.

The campaign is worth a play through, but the multi is awful.

Im looking forward to Treyarch's next attempt, I'm hoping for World at War 2, or a revisit to Black Ops 1 (imo the best multiplayer ever made).

I find this a little worrying, the yearly re-visit is not enough. Let's re-visit the re-visits of yesteryear's.

Over rated game. I should have given up on the cod franchise when ghosts failed massively. :(

It takes some getting used to. I hated it for first few weeks. Started playing CTF and began to enjoy it

Yes its nowhere near as goid as MW1+2 but its a damn sight better than MW3!

Would dearly love an updated (and regularly patched) mw2! Them maps!!!

I found Black Ops 1 on the 360 pretty awful but it played smoothly on the PS3. Great maps too. Not many bad ones at all. There's a generation of gamers that have come about since the days of MW1 and 2. They would definitely enjoy a mix up of the old maps.

COD4 Modern Warfare is my favourite by far, the multiplayer maps were all excellent and the campaign had some excellent levels as well - Chernobyl etc. Modern Warfare 2 was also pretty good but the airstrikes were over powered so the multiplayer wasn't as fun to play. Black Ops 1and 2 were quite mindless but had decent zombie modes. Ghosts was just a joke. This is pretty average - solid campaign and mediocre multiplayer but far less engaging than it used to be.

Edit: forgot about MW3, says it all really, a very bad game.

Agreed if they sold a revamp pack of pure multiplayer. Like a COD season pass but they release the older games. World at War would be great and sell a lot. They could give it better graphics and able to customise your player but it would be [email protected] not let's jump over buildings and rubbish like that, that's Halo, not COD. The hype sold this game but I think they will revamp for big sales on smaller budgets

Tbf, its hard to call airstrikes overpowered. If a Harrier is hovering above shooting at peeps, I don't reckon your chances of respawning are very high!

It's good, but I'm just bored of the formula now I think. Loved COD4/2 like most people, thought black ops 2 was ace but AW, whilst good just couldn't hold my attention. Perhaps it's me getting older but I don't think the COD series will be around too much longer with sales shrinking.

However; if you aren't bored of the COD formula you will really enjoy this! Thought single player was good

World at War was best, it's way too fast now just a load of boolox now too hectic get back to basics cod makers, it's the first cod game I've not brought!!

Totally agree! However, on reflection it sounds like your describing battlefield 4 which is pacey, but has the above elements. These kids today dont know the meaning of camping

OP I've been on the phone to Tesco and also visited the local superstore. As far as I can see you managed to get a copy of a very limited game as tesco are saying they do not stock this anymore as it was all sold out within the first few weeks.

Can anyone else confirm if they manage to get hold of a day zero edition from a local store?

I've voted hot on the basis of being able to get the limited copy but it seems extremely slim.

Damn =(

I just popped into my local tesco express. If you do manage to find one, remember there is also a five pound off voucher that makes this £27!!!

My girlfriend was sure they didn't stock games in the express stores, but that's where I got this from. See if you have any of them about?
