I wouldn't play a cod game if it was given to me for free, it's a mugs game, and every year the mugs pay 40 quid for this rubbish they keep churning out.

Only a mug would expect to pay £40 also... But I'd agree. Last 2 have been awful.

Guess I'm a mug then, buying it on day of release, then playing 3 or 4 nights a week for a year until the next one. I consider around 18p a night pretty good value for entertainment. I also think bops2 and ghosts are both awesome in different ways. Bops2 is more arcadey but ghosts has a higher skill curve and is more about stealth.

A lot of people don't like ghosts because they think you can just around in the middle of an open field and not get shot like you could in some of the older cods. I've got most of the older cods and they are awful when you go back to them. People have rosey glasses about old computer games. Although I've still got a softspot for MW2 and MW3.

I will certainly be pre ordering advanced warfare.

Damn - that's cheap.

Especially as I look across the shelf of games bought before Christmas that I'm yet to start!

(GTA5, Battlefield 4, COD Ghosts, Last of Us, AC Black Flag, etc etc etc...)

please play last of us next! I'm so envious that you don't know the full story. What I'd do to have that feeling again.

Why spend £40 when you could shop around and easily knock a tenner off? That was my implication of saying it, although can see how it could be misconstrued, is to shop around. £35 without trying on Tesco.

A fine line can be drawn between stealth and camping. I've put enough hours in to know how 'strategic waiting' works ;)

And if you like stealthy games, give The Last of Us online a go. Involves a lot more skill :) Playing CoD every night is no good as a gaming experience...but whatever floats your boat.

Wanted it for the xbox 360 for a gift. but excellent price for the game. I actually really like the game.

worst cod there has been, however new one looks promising.

although people say its not worth spending in terms of hours played you get a lot more per pound thus better value for money

Yeh being a counterstriker in a past life I like to learn every little part of a game and master it. The year gap is perfect for me, then I change. For a quick fun game I play mario Kart or Grid 2 but that's about it. Everything else is fps. Whack the turtle beach on in cod , stick in one server and I'm gone for 4 hours. Also got Battlefields and Killzones, but they don't quite hit the spot.

Ha, I lost many a day to CS (namely CZ as preferred the feel) and moved to console in 2008 due to spacial (nursery!) reasons and been that way for a while.

Like to heavily mix things up and go for trophies also (just hit my 50th Plat).
CoD just doesn't hold as much as what it used to. Too diluted now and much more masses over classes. Looking for an online game which holds like MW2 did.

I remember loading it at 1.1 and 1.3 soon after, before 1.6 took a hold. That was nearly 14 years ago...whoa!

Its a darn shame COD 4 servers dont work no more for multiplayer so i think its a bit unfair to price it at what they have for just singleplayer use.

Really struggled to like this year's release and sold it after a month. Think the main difference for me (apart from the emphasis on different heights on maps) was the feeling that unless you shot first in a one on one you were history, there's less time with a red flashing screen.

Have pre ordered new one so we'll see how that goes.

Went back on BO2 last night for first time in ages and FFA was full of idiots either attempting trick shot final kills or someone who'd hacked the walls. Someone was freely spouting racial abuse and didn't think me (26) should still be playing COD games. Even though he still lives with his Mum who buys his COD games for him at the age of 19. Hmm

Servers don't work anymore?? Is this PC or console?

To be fair I haven't played either for a while, but the amount of hours I've clocked up over the three systems is ridiculous. And I was really looking forward to playing again once I get a new laptop in Sept :(

I always get my moneys worth out of COD its the only game come back to. Battlefield is a bit flakey and other games don't seem competitive.
#31
Ghosts is the first COD game I never enjoyed in fact I think I actually hate it. Infinity ward's games have gone down and down in quality since the brilliant COD 4. I actually prefer Treyarch to infinity ward now.

Eh, not really. Fifa 14 is comfortably the most accomplished game in the series since Fifa 09 in my opinion.
