Sorry if already posted , I did search.
If call of duty isn't your thing I'm sure the 7% is.
I got an e-mail from top cashback this morning letting me know that GAME now offer a massive 7% off software purchases making Balck ops pre order:

PC £35 -----> £32.55
360 £45 ----> £41.85
ps3 £45 ----> £41.85

Not the best price I have seen pre orders but for those that don't want to be disappointed with the SOLD OUT label on shop shelves this is kinda worth it

Hmmm £41.85 pre-order vs under £30 at supermarket midnight launch?

I know what I'll be doing.

true, I'd prob do the same thing, I've never ordered a pre order in my life but I thought for those that have no patience and are glued to their bed/sofa this would be an ok deal but If you can let us know which supermarket is the best to go to I would much appreciate it...£30 is hell of a deal!

We won't know which supermarket is the best until a few days before release once they start advertising the midnight launch.

Going to do the same as when MW2 was released. Go to my local Sainsbury's in the evening and hope they are doing a similar deal as with MW2. £25 was a great price for MW2, hopefully they'll do the same thing with Black Ops!
#5
Not overly excited by this game, as Treyarch are involved its gonna basically be another World at War (COD5) mess

All I can say is RIP Infinity Ward

my thoughts exactly
#8
will it be having servers this time rnd or the junk matchmaking system again
#9
these always get cheaper at the time
either asda or tesco get hold of a load and sell them far cheaper than anywhere else

never pre-order again , got burnt once never again..................

The last few games that everyone queued for at the supermarkets were not reduced, Heavy Rain, South Africa 2010 to mention 2 and the pre orders were cheaper by £5.

Ooh I am not getting this game and not voting either way.

Hopefully, Makro will do the £17+vat price tag on the day of release,
the same as it did for MW2. We have 2 PS3's at home, one's my son's and one's mine. He pre-ordered his MW2 and £34 was the cheapest he could find. He wasn't happy when I got mine the same day from Makro, lol.

Signed up for the 'Halo' Project so nothing for PS3 though :x

Unless of course they win their lawsuit and retain the rights to the Call Of Duty Modern Warfare franchise

The annual Fifa is always in a price war, as is COD, it wont be different. Heavy rain + world cup edition are nothing in comparison when it comes to sales, which is all the supermarket wants!

You what?

They've only signed to EA for publishing, they're creating a new franchise that they'll have full control of, much like EA's agreement with Haromix (rock band) and Crytek (crisis). They have nothing to do with Microsoft.

I always find these posts funny in the way of "it will be cheaper when released so I am voting it cold", I bet you I can "find it cheaper" 3 or 4 months after the game is released and so on..........

Its published by Activision, so what do you think.

He's got it the wrong way around, it's Bungie's deal with Activision that makes it possible that they will make a COD game.

Erm....yes to servers is the correct answer here. Dedicated servers are being brought back. We all know to hate Activision, but Treyarch have been showing some nice ideas for Black Ops. Colour me excited!

As for the deal, I think this isn't great because, it's now £29.99 preorder! lol
