I think thats a great price, wish id seen. Been looking for a few weeks for goty edition, shopto was £27.99 but no stock, so ended up getting it off ebay for £22.50 a couple days ago, was worried about the extra maps code not working with it being second hand but they work fine as they are assigned to work with only that disc. Would still rather of had brand new for a couple extra quid though but thats just me. Good find

hot from me hubby loves this game online, much better than cod3 online
#9
it was £17.99 in play.com just 2 weeks ago

still waiting for it to drop below £20, preferably under £15 before buying, for a game released so long ago it really held it's price.
#11
I bought World at War for £26 on release day from ASDA... this isn't a good price.

Great game though, but I play COD World at War now... I like tanks :P

This series of games, is easily the greatest game for any system.

I tried the demo of Killzone 2, and have played Gears of War 2 and neither are any competition for COD either.

I don't believe though how £26 for a 15 month old game can be considered hot, when it was £18 not long earlier, but its good if you want it so will vote hot anyway.
#14
is it still £18 now ? :whistling:

I saw this game at the weekend in GAME for £49.99...I PMSL!:-D

Same here. Bought a whole bunch of NEW games for under £20 recently there's no way i'm spending more on a game this old! I'm in no rush :-)

Means PC World must be selling them for £100+... :whistling:

£25 for an 15 month old game already replaced by the sequal is an absolute rip-off. I got a copy on launch day for under £35. Sadly as long as people keep buying it at this price then they'll just keep selling it as this price....

ace game
#21
stunning stunning game online...

COD WAW is pants and this is worth ten times any value that game has..

still play it daily after over a year of ownership...

The only difference between this and the normal one is you get 4 extra maps which would normally cost you 800msp on the Marketplace

I loved this game! Brilliant

But how is this game still so expensive, its nearly 1 year and 1/2 old
#25
This game is 22.50 at argos online and store. Unfort part of 2 for 45 pounds.

Find a m8 and get 2! :w00t:

What many of the people talking down this deal forget is that this game is still hugely popular online.
Despite being a Gears of War fanatic, I think this game is awesome. It is much better than COD5, especially online
and this is why it still holds its price.

Additionally, the game of the year addition come with a code for additional maps, which cost a good £5 worth of
live points on the xbox 360, so putting those factors together, this game (and this deal) is not a rip off by any means at £25.

Hot.

Hot.

And to add those maps cost you £9.99 to buy if you own a PS3.

Some of the new maps are very good.

I hate the Creak one, but Chinatown and Shipyard are great (I am assuming these are all the new maps).

HOT deal

I can't believe some people STILL haven't played this.

IMO it has to be one of the greatest games ever.

Anyone seen these stats from Infinity Award?

"As of Jan. 3rd we hit 10,006,606 unique users who have ever played Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare on Xbox 360 and have connected to Xbox Live at least once after playing.

That number got us curious as to how many of those 10 Million+users finished the F.N.G. mission, or beat Airplane on Veteran (among other things). Well, it turns out:

71.1%, or 7,111,508 people have completed F.N.G.

That’s more than the entire population of Hong Kong (which is 7 Million).

68.8%, or 6,886,509 people have completed Cargo Ship.

This is the same number of adults in the US who were morbidly obese in 2005.

46.5%, or 5,654,643 people have beaten the game on any difficulty.

This is more than the current population of Finland!

2.8%, or 283,632 people have completed Airplane on Veteran difficulty.

The population of Stockton, CA is 280,000.

So if you’ve beat Airplane on Veteran difficulty, then congratulations. You’re in a very elite club. Considering less than 3% of players have been able to do it.

Now keep in mind, these are only players on Xbox 360 (who have also connected to Xbox Live at least once). So there are more than this playing Call of Duty 4, we just can’t track them. For PS3, we pulled MP-numbers only, and it looks like theres approximately 4,381,276 unique users playing PSN (not including SP-only players). "

Yep, but if you look under the yellow "Add to shoppinh basket" button there is more buying options, one of them is Amazon at the £25.99 price.

For PS3 owners, Gameplay, Game, and Gamestation have a much better deal at £19.99.
