Have COD4 and WaW already on X360, but this game is always so much cheaper on the PC! Voted hot.

The > or = £25 price fixing on COD4 and WaW really should stop now and this is coming from sombody (me) who couldn't care less as they have both games already. I know in the odd few places COD4 and WaW have been £20, but with Modern Warfare 2 out Nov neither of these games really have a massive lifespan left, unless MW2 is terrible of course, which I can't see it being.

^Indeed, in fact, 'console tax' seems to inflate the price of most good console games to a ridiculous level.

Hope you like grenades if you play multiplayer on PC...

Great deal for PC gamers though.

Tempted. Is cheating rife online on PC though? Any measures in place such as Punkbuster? Cheers.

Yheap, waiting for the PS3 version to come down.:x

Punkbuster sucks.

I played a little last night, and while watching the killcam replay (many times lol). The same guy got me 4 times in a row, just shadowing my movement - but while apparently watching me through a wall.....

Have they added an x-ray specs perk of recent.?

still a great game though and an awesome price

He probably just saw you on his radar/could hear your footsteps..

I wouldn't say i have encountered many cheaters at all during my time playing.

Great multiplayer experience... hot deal

The PC version of COD4 is full of patches which enable people to cheat. Such cheats for example mean they can remove walls so that they can see everyone whilst they cant be seen themselves. A quick Google of COD4 cheat patches will reveal all. Personally I think these patches are a pain as its not very encouraging to see a person with 200+ kills in a 10min game. They also stalk respawning sites to take you out as soon as you appear!! Most annoying and just my opinion and thats why I only play it on PS3.

technically, you can listen to a persons footsteps, and if you have a powerful enough weapon, and the wall is thin enough, you can shoot through the wall and score a kill.

tho i expect there is a certain amount of cheating. shame really :(

To all those who were saying about cheating being a big problem.

I play regularly on different servers with my clan and generally the only problems regarding cheats are on non-punkbuster enabled servers.

There are many people who seem like they are hacking, especially if you're used to the snails pace (in comparison to mouse) aiming in the console version, but they are actually just really good at the game and have learnt the ropes to a terrifying level.

Also, a fun fact, achievements take much longer to get on the PC version compared with console. Not sure why this is, maybe they just took a guess that a lot of console players would be more on the casual play side.

I still think on the PC HL Counter Strike is probably a bit of a better game and just feels more suited to the PC.

Maybe it's just because I've played CS more, and after playing COD you do kind of miss the L-trigger weapon sight view, but as people have said the patches do kinda ruin COD on the PC, and I've never experienced a stupid amount of modded content on CS Source.
