Call of Duty 4 Modern Warfare for Xbox 360. Just about the lowest price I have seen for a while on Xbox 360. Plenty in stock at Cradley Heath branch of Tesco. Also Call of Duty: World at War at same price. [Plus Clubcard points - every little helps apparently]

ive recently had to buy my 3rd copy of this game as of all my 70+ games this one is the only one to get the dreaded circular grooves that the 360 makes on it, im sure they do this on purpose, ive only been online for 18.5 days playing time !

Would it help if you copied the game to your 360's HDD? Would doing so reduce the impact on the game-disc? Anybody got any views on this?

todays newspaper thread (sunday) on MSE £5 tesco voucher, quote;

Daily Mail, £5 off (non food grocery, non household non clothes, and non health and beauty items when you spend £25.

So that includes DVDs, Computer/Electrical/Television etc items, stationary, CDs, and anything else you can think that fits the description

It's amazing that this game has maintained a value as high as this despite COD5 coming out. Not to mention it's a year and a half old now!

I payed £25 for GOTY edition this time last year, this game has held it's value for a crazy length of time.

I bought a previously 'unworking' copy of CoD4 after it had been taken into Game and cleaned by them, but you can still see a line right around the disc which they say is a laser burn. However, it now installs onto the HD ok (it wouldn't before being cleaned) and I've played it almost constantly ever since without any problems.

I've now installed the games I play most often onto the HD, and hopefully that will extend the life of the dvd drive.

Do you stand your 360 vertically? I'm sure that the groove problem is greatly reduced if it's positioned horizontally. Also it's possible to remove scratches from discs so that they're playable (scratch is just in the plastic lower part, not where data is stored on the disc). Costs a few quid at game shops, basically they buff the disc to remove the scratch. Beats paying for the game repeatedly :thumbsup:

Same price in Gamestation today, just been and bought it.

Be aware, that if this ISN'T the "Game Of The Year Edition" then you may end up paying 800 xbox live points (approx £6) later on to download the extra multi-player maps.

Still hot price of course.

It is the GOTY edition of COD 4, on the PS3 anyways.

well my son wanted COD5 just because it was the new one, he played on it a few times and went back to playing COD4, COD5 seems more realistic though, online game play on COD4 is better but differs from person to person.

I think the multiplayer sucks, but I'm more of a SOCOM guy.

Goldeneye N64 FTW!

CoD 4 is a way better game, made by Infinity Ward, CoD 5 on the other hand was made by Treyarch. Both use the same game engines.

Assume you have the old 360 and that you are moving it while it is running? It was caused by missing buffers meaning that the disc touched the metal casing when you moved it, AFAIK this had been fixed a long time ago?!?!
