I think I'll rather save my money and put it towards paying the ful RRP for when modern warfare 2 comes out (on 360 or PS3) because if it's anything like CoD4 then the console versions won't hit the £20 mark for at least a year.
#2
MW2 is scheduled for a mid-November release according to Wikipedia so you may be waiting a while :P

I agree that it would be wise to pick up MW2 at release as there is no way it will be dropping in price for a good few months after release.

Was just about to post this deal, good post!
#4
excellent post, why is this not red hot?
#5
£10 cheaper than anywhere else? That's hot.

Although I've resisted. Steam seems to have done a good job at eating away my money this year.

Yep they tend to have some pretty decent deals, just a shame publishers have the price higher on Steam than at retail for a lot of games :(

Indeed...I wonder what steams cut is and if that's part of the reason? Could it be anywhere near as high as the 30% that Apple takes in their App store?

this may be a daft question but how does steam work? Can I download it and burn it onto a CD to keep?
#9
No. You download the game through Steam (Games are tied to your steamID)

If you delete it, you can redownload it as much as you want but can only play when logged into your Steam Account. You can backup your games for formatting etc so you don't have to redownload everything.

So actually yes...he can download it and burn it onto a CD to keep...but when you re-install it you also install steam and have to log in using the account you bought it with.

Err, no. Played Cod 4 for the first time in months yesterday and its still the same 10th prestige idiots running round with m16s and grenading you to death.

[email protected] is a more refined multiplayer experience for me, a bit slower, more balance on the weapons, better perks.

And anyways, letting loose evil visicous attack dogs just feels more satisfying than sending out a helicopter
#22
I agree, multiplayer on WAW is better than COD4, but the singleplayer game on COD4 is way better.

Does anyone know if you have to pay for DLC on steam versions of the COD games?
#23
Good deal but I would save your money and get cod 4, it's much better.

For PC version you don't pay for DLC.

Indeed, that is what happens when you buy a heavily subsidised system.

You could try playing away from your choice of heavily subsidised game machine

Your IP must be reported as being based outside of the UK and within Europe for it to display as being in Euros.

Yup, comes up as £14.99 for me....

Not buying though as I only bought COD4 a week or so back and have 2 other games waiting in the wings after that...

Cod5 wm2 soo many problems with this game, so many pc's will not play this game, most ppl had to delete the video intro just to play this game.

Too many problems on this game..Avoid this game game if you can, wait for cod6

Voted Cold if only £14.99

Sounds like he had that problem and wants to take it out on everyone else to be honest, the intro is in the same format as the COD4 intro so just ignore him.
