Get Call of Duty: Black Ops on Preorder for £20 on Xbox 360 or PS3 for £20. It just worked for me:

1. Go to http://www.very.co.uk
2. Search for Black Ops
3. Add to Basket
4. Put these codes in at the checkout ZQ300 for £25 off and XV044 for free delivery

Order comes to £20

The delivery date obviously will be 9/11/10 because its a pre-order

Please be careful with the sign up process if you're a new customer since they will try to get you to sign up for a Very store card. If you look at the Payment Options section and scroll down there is an option to pay by card rather than sign up to their store card.

Please bear with me since this is my very first post on here!

sure they can't make you pay them money once the transaction has been made and item delivered.
#3
You wanna risk it happening and have to go through their customer service department when it does?

This will be my 4th order using discount codes on Very, 2 of them being high value, and haven't had any problems.

They have done it twice to me ! you better believe it.... Littlewoods, Very, and a couple of other names are all the same company and work all the same. I will never use this company again.

Wouldn't it be nice if Very deals would be automatically be set on expired (simple code If Very in title -> expire)?

With all due respect it is not the company's fault if codes intended for individual or specific use are handed out to the wider community and subsequently they feel the right to not honour deals. If you aren't using the codes in accordance with their original intention that clearly there is always going to be a risk.
#13
Sorry, after being stung by Littlewoods in the past - I just can't bring myself to enter the payment details - I'm out...
#14
Crap, I did not know any of this.
#15
They have a database of all the codes who they've sent to. Don't take the risk guys if you haven't been given the code, unless you don't mind paying an extra £25 down the line.
#16
Thanks for expiring, whoever did it. If these posts are correct then it's best avoided.

Sorry - I just didn't know they were shady! And the £25 does sound like theft, exactly like theft - especially if the code applies the discount when you are checking out.

Surely Trading Standards would have something to say about it.

I love it, coz its the companies fault you used a promotional codes that you weren't eligable for and they asked for their money back! How dare they!

Worked for me perfectly fine with Battlefield Bad Company 2.

I bought 2 copies and used the code. Came off my card at the correct price. Never had a problem since.

I'm sure there are some who've been burned. I'll vote hot, but won't make any difference to the overall heat on here.

I was concened at the time as I'd heard complaint about them charging people later, so I made my purchase over the phone. There were no T&C's read out to me and I asked specifically about the rumours I'd heard about the charges being added later, They promised they wouldn't and I made a note of the date/time of the call as they record calls "for training and monitoring purposes"

people, WHO PERSONALLY SHOPPED AT VERY.CO.UK ??? i got my ps3 1 year ago for £228 using 20% voucher (250GB inc 2 games (uncharted and killzone2)), got 2x£20 psn cards (paid just £5 for each using £15 off and free delivery vouchers) ,also long time ago. and don't have any problems. they charging full price (they did it with my psn cards, but not ps3 itself), and after item been dispathed, they give you a refund.
so this deal shoul be very hot !!!
p.s. how many unic combinations voucher codes you can get of 2 letters and 3 numbers ???

Wife got a discount code in a letter sent to her directly from Littlewoods - initially all was okay but then they refused to honour the code and charged full price - took several calls and letters (including sending original letter) to get the money refunded.

On the flip side I've used one successfully with Marshalls.

Message is - use at own risk but if you can't afford to pay the extra £25 or whatever don't do it.

so you got your maney back :) like i said , i had no problems ... but presume always can be first time :)
and technically they can't charge you differnet price. let's say you going for check out, shows you a price of £20, you agreed to pay that amount, you paid it,you got your item. if they charge you more, take that to court :) i work in court services (just in crown court, and in this case would be county court matter). so it's up to people... just don't like that such a deals go that cold, you know... thanks
#22
Like anyone is going to court for 25 quid.

Like anyone is going to court for 25 quid.

you don't really need to go to court, you just need to mention it :) lol
#24
I dont like the company, but they have every right to protect themselves - all these codes come with pretty clear terms when they give them out. Definitely don't agree with how they go about it (still letting you order), but at the end of the day, if you were around bargain websites quite a few years ago, Littlewoods were abused quite abit before they started rejecting codes (after no doubt losing tons of money).

Anyone ordering from them now with vouchers that weren't given to them know they're in the wrong, you cant exactly complain because you were found out - mentioning court action with them will just have them say go ahead, it's not something they're gonna back down on. I dont think their legal department would let them do something they know will just fold at the slightest mention of court action.
#25
I really don't know what to do now!!! It would be a great deal if you can get it for £20 but don't want to have to pay £25 extra in a few weeks!!!!!!
#26
Well they've got a £15 off for new customers code for Very on Quidco, That would make it a code that can be used by anybody right?
#27
On second thought that would make the game about £34 with delivery which isn't too hot lol
#28
Just tried to get the game, with the free P&P plus £15 off for the first order. So that brought the price to £30. Which I thought that was fair. Got to the payment verification bit and the details said "Charge card £45!" Erm, no thank you! If it wasn't for the VISA card security check, they could have charged me the full whack!
