As it stands this is the launch deal for Black Ops at Tesco, had it confirmed at work today by the Entertainments manager.
So for PS3 the deal would be
Black Ops (£40 when bought by itself) + £20 PSN Credit = £45
And for Xbox 360
Black Ops + 2100 MS Points (17.50) Or 3 Months Xbox Live (17.50) = £42.50
MS Points are about that i can't quite remember
Not the best deal but it's not bad and is possible to be changed pending other supermarkets announcements.
I have posted other Tesco instore deals before their start date and all have been correct so trust me when i say this is the case.
This is the same deal the offered for MoH's release but it's £25 instead of £28 for the game.
Thanks

Use these codes to get 1000 extra clubcard points as well
CCOFFER1-1
CCOFFER2-1
CCOFFER4-1
CCOFFER5-1
CCOFFER6-1

Can also trade MW2 in for £14 instore towards this deal.

Moved to misc until confirmed.

Looks alright, good if you were thinking of getting some credit or MS points like I was (Super Meat Boy).

Is this average price for ms points?
#3
If this deal stands that is good enough for me, I need PSN credit anyway.
#4
not bad if it is true!

tescos were advertsing the game at £39.90 in the papers so not sure where the £42 comes from. My local tesco entertainment department didn't mention any offers when i spoke to them last night.

This game isn't getting any higher than an 8.0. I just know it.

Confirmed deal and scorching hot! Any of the points/membership can be sold for at least £15 making the games around £28 or round abouts. Good enough for me :D
#11
sounds good and my local is on the midnight launch list. will pop in tomorrow and grab a pre-order box!
#12
You can also do this online via this link -

http://www.tescoentertainment.com/store/browse/games/codblackopslaunchoffer2010/

Avoids queing at midnight if your willing to wait. Plus, even though you might get it late, Tesco will honour the deal if you checkout before it's officially released. Game is currently down for dispatch within 5 days (most likely down to heavy pre-order demand) but will ship once new stock arrives. I can imagine ques being absolutely ridiculous for this and unless you turn up at least an hour early for the midnight launch, chances of grabbing this are very slim indeed. I'm happy to wait as MW2 is hasn't lost it's awesomeness so for anyone in a similar situation ordering online isn't a bad idea at all.

This needs to be hotter, seems this is the best deal of anyone so far, with everyone except Morrison's having been confirmed?

Took the plunge, did it online so i can get £3.60 topcashback and dont need to bother queuing, cheers.

Does anyone know which is better value for money - getting the 3 months of Live or the 2100 MS points?

Thx

The 2100 MSP, easy to sell on for £14-15, and barely more expensive than the best deals available for them.
The 3 month gold isnt really worthwhile, considering a 12 month sub is available for £30ish, as opposed to 3 months for £17.50

No idea about the resell value/demand of the PSN points

What's the likelihood of me getting this on Tuesday if
I order it from Amazon now with the £2 postage option?

Good o see this come to fruition :)
Looks like the offer i'm likely to buy :)

Best deal going for this game i would prob use the PSN credit for the map packs anyway.

Ive got the ASDA deal for £45 pre-ordered so i could pick that up if i fail to get the Tesco deal.
#22
Trade in Mw2 an get 14 quid knocked off also happy days
#23
Good deal PSN Credit will go to the MAP packs when they come out
#24
Wait till you see the fs/ft section fill up with live points, live membership and psn codes lol.
#25
Good deal - as you will probably want the points for new maps in the future. My best buy one should be at home now - might pop home at lunch for a quick go.

hope so!

I said it in the other Black Ops thread but it needs to be heard:

Tesco run out of the points packs really quick as they don't get enough stock in. Hopefully as it's a big release game they would have the sense to get more in but I doubt they will as they didn't with Halo Reach and Fallout NV.

great deal

I think this deal is already posted, see link on post 27

I wouldn't get too excited, PSN and Live cards never sell all that cheaply on here because we tend to do deals with eachother where we send the code via PM to someone who wants it quickly as opposed to selling it at a really cheap rate.

The last time I sold a £20 PSN card on here, I got £17.50 for it. If you're after price over speed then you're usually just better waiting for an online offer to surface.

This deal was posted before that round up, and as it is the best deal by far on the game it deserves it's own individual recognition.
#33
Thanks for the pointer online for the Tesco deal. I went for that. I did get Halo Reach in store with the points last time, but it was the last MS points pack, so I don;t want a wasted journey.
Coupled with Quidco, this is a good deal in my view.
#34
I think this is the best deal out there unless you do your shopping at Sainsbury's. 2100 points is only about £2.80 more than the cheapest out there. Could easily sell these on ebay and Black Ops will still end up costing around £28 or £29 after.
#35
Awesome, ordered with 2100 points!

With you saying this think i might stick with me ASDA deal if its £36.97 with guide and t-shirt and trade in a few games. But then am also thinking about th Best Buy deal live 5 mins away from both.
#37
Does anyone know if they'll let me purchase the PS3 edition of the game with the MS Points card together?
#38
Anybody know if Tesco are doing the Hardened Edition of B.Opz and if thers any deals wi it? Ta
#39
Tempted to cancel best buy order at £29.99 and order this as I'm still awaiting stock pick and I could use the points on the map packs anyway.

I wouldn't have thought that would be a problem.
