crap price!!

Darn was looking forward to standing outside a large supermarket for 2/3 hours in the freezing cold

It is but I dont think the poster was posting this as a deal, more just to get the information out there so for that, thanks but yeah, wont be buying from asda if this is true
#5
cheers

Poor price (as I don't have the games - if I did this would be one hell of a price!), just wondering though how much the PS3 copy will be? It seems the previous raft of COD threads were getting heat for no reason & the current one's are getting a chill!

Here's the pic from the OP's thread

If Asda charge this price then i wont be going there. Their loss not mine.
#8

I agree I'm hoping the sainsbury's rumours are true & so will go there:

http://www.product-reviews.net/2010/11/04/cod-black-ops-cheapest-deals-sainsburys-and-morrisons/

Rumours state the price will be between £24 to £28 if purchased along with £30+ worth of shopping! Just hope if its true my local store will stock it!
#10
Unsure on the midnight price i did notice that on the advertisement but not certain yet.

The problem is, most people have gotten used to these being sold at £25-30 previously to get people in the door, so far only Best Buy have sold 500 copies for less (£29.99), Sainsbury's are rumoured to be £24.99 but still not confirmed and everywhere else is actually £39.99+

The supermarkets dont seem to want to get into much of a price war with each other/game stores anymore - i suppose they've figured these games will sell either way, so why lose profit on them they know they're gonna make no matter the price.

glad i've got my £29.99 copy already despatched from Best Buy :D

if not here by Tuesday I'll still get a copy from the supermarket if they are cheaper. Then flog the other one 8)
#13
Big no for Asda then, let's see how cold this gets!!
#14
Starting to wonder if the best buy offer is the best we're gunna get here!

can confirm that in Asda they have the shelf tickets out already (with out of stock ticket over the top). But behind it does say £36.97 for PS3 and XBOX. Cheaper for Wii at 29.99 (i think).

Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Dear oh dear, this is disappointing. If nobody does this sub £30 then I would be surprised if Sainsburys bother to do it for £25 or whatever as there'd be no need. I am surprised at Asda not trying harder though.

zavvi, used the walkers code plus had some voucher codes knocking about i'd forgot about
#25
Asda: £36.97
Sainsbury's: possibly £27.97 when bought with £30 worth of shopping (makes sense since thats how they've been selling new games lately)
Tesco: Around £39
Morrisons: Unknown, likely £29.99 with purchase of another chart title.

I think alot of people are going to be disappointed if they're hoping for £25 prices sadly.

Well done on posting a deal everyone can benefit from...
#27
this isn't a bad deal at all, just under £20 off the RRP can't be bad!
#28
Don't be too surprised. We saw it happen with Fifa11.
It isn't that profitable for supermarkets, as people tend to buy the game and **** off.

Works out quite well for me

I'm finished tfu2 was trying to sell it on here and the trade in price at game is £23 now

So £27 for black ops is a good price if trading in.

Which is what I'm Gona do

And to clarify the trade in times are 8am-10pm in asda at the entertainment desk
#32
I bought TFU2 using CoD:MW2 as trade in, finished it in less than 6 hours, so not that impressed. so black ops for a fiver will do me nicely.

AWESOME!!!

Got Fallout:New Vegas for £19.99 and it arrived Sat..so makes it £24.96 for me....

#34
Yeah if you've got a cheap copy of fallout nv or tfu 2 then this deal is great. Otherwise crapola. :)
banned#35
so is £32 the definite trade in price for Fallout? They'll probs run out so thinking I'll trade in and just wait until they get stock back in
#36
Is this definitely only for trading in one of those three games? I heard it's a deal for any CHART game. Which I think includes Crackdown 2 (£15) and Avatar (£12). If so, then this is the best deal for Black Ops - it's probably store specific.
#37
just traded in SWTFU2 and got £32 on a gift card. hope there's some stock left by tomorrow. lol

traded in at Asda btw.

This is OFFICIAL, if you do a bit of google research..

:D I ain't finished NV but can always borrow a friend's copy to finish it later.

This is a tread full of harsh posters, sure the price on its on isnt amazing but still better than GAME and Gamestations. And the £5 price if you are trading one of the games listed is great.

The people on this site take the **** sometimes
