eeerrrmmmm not really "much" cheaper than elsewhere

+3.5% Quidco, total price £32.75, cheapest deal around. I get the feeling that as Battlefield Bad Company 2 is released on 5th of March, we'll start to see more CODMW2 deals around, sales of this game will inevitably slow down.

Not much of a price crash, more of a "oops, I just bumped into you, I am so sorry"

Considering you can get this for £20-25 pre-owned in mint condition its not worth spending the extra just so it has shiny plastic wrapping on it.

Or alternatively chewed, sucked and semi digested condition. The mind boggles how you know that every pre-owned copy in existence would be "mint" as you put it :? Good price. Heat added.
#6
Not seen any go for that cheap. Second hand on ebay are generally around the £30 mark.
#7
Very good price, nearly tempted to get it but I'll wait till it's under £30
#8
Best price I've seen, but will probably get it pre-owned. Never had a bad disc yet.. but maybe I've been lucky.
#9
Been available on simplygames for similar price for long time

Depends which format and where you get it from. The majority of Xbox 360 games from shops will tend to have fag holes, bite marks from infants, and the occasional bit of foetus smeared across the disc, along with all the usual scratches from where theyve been pelted across the room by some angry charv. If bought online on ebay or even here, they do tend to be in mint condition.

The majority of PS3 games from shops will have newish discs and the case will be in decent condition, but there will be the odd one where the case and disc have been used as coasters for hot chocolate.

This is just speaking from experience. I own both consoles and I stopped buying old preowned 360 games from shops as no matter how good the odd case is, you'll always end up getting a disc that someones dog tried to eat.

Best. Game. Ever.

Most. Overrated. Game. Ever.

BFBC2 is so much better.

I vote £28.99 cold, I picked it up on launch day for £26 and on the basis that time machines aren't available this deal is a decent price for now.
#17
Why is this considered a bargain? I know it is probably cheaper than other places, but a game this old should be around £17.99 or perhaps £14.99. I can't believe the game is still going for this much.
#18
Not voting hot or cold, simply because in my opinion this game is so full of glitchers, hackers, boosters and cheaters that just ruin the online experience of this game for the genuine players. Ifinifty Ward keep trying to fix this game with patches, but it's obvious they have released a game that clearly was not ready to be released due to there arrogance in not releasing a beta version first. I paid £25 for this on the day of release and i have to say i would not pay any more than that for it, there will be new map packs being released in the coming months, and i for one will not be parting with any more of my hard earned money unless they have fixed the issues with this game. Again this is only my opinion. Some people will agree and some disagree. Don't get me wrong when you get a good game on this it is good, but for me personally these are few and far between.

this annoys me, why is this deal very hot when my deal...

- which was for both ps3 and xbox last week for £1 more on amazon
- which at the time was the cheapest price

This site is pretty much garbage these days. I'm honestly suprised there isn't a 'lingerie' section yet.

Full of pervs and people who think paying over £30 for an old game is a 'good' deal.

totally agree and the mods (or atleast one mod in particular) only just make it worse
#22
This was a good deal when the price was £30.95 but since OP changed it to £33.95 there's no way this should be hot.

I bought it on launch day for £26 from Sainsburys.
I need to order one for my friend, so will be ordering this one a few months after release, and for 33% more than I paid. Why? It's a good deal for NOW.
#24
It's still ridiculously expensive on the high street. So hot.
#25
Blockbuster pre-owned copies are normally mint. If buying from CEX then they are usually in poor condition. But always check the discs carefully before buying.

Am I glad I got this on release day! Never thought I'd ever say that.

Why not wait to see whether it drops? Surely that makes more sense... I'm preparing my floor with adequate rolling space for when it does and I re-read your post :-D
#28
I paid a lot less for this when it was released? How is this hot?

No, it makes sense to buy it when you want it at the best price available at the time.

How can anyone buy it for the price you paid on release now?
My house was £42k in 2001, would someone be getting a bargain if they paid me double the price in 2010?

Because games like cars are depreciating assets. Over time Houses are not? The question here is about the deal above being a "hot" deal. Hardly hot is it!
