Best price yet for the Veteran Package, which includes the steelbook version of the game, artbook, Call of Duty Classic download code and a hulking great statue............

Quidco is currently 6%, giving you £3.60 back, and you get 600 reward points.

Before you give this a chilly reception, let me just say the following:

I bought this set the other week for £65 - sold the artbook for a tenner on fleabay, and sold the statue for £60 to some chap in Portugal. I got my Quidco too.

In total I paid out £65 - from the bits I sold, I received (after eBay fees/postage) about £63

So the steelbook version of the game, and the Classic unlock code cost me a grand total of £2. If you buy it now, and do the same, with the game costing £5 less, you could probably end with a small profit. A bit of a pain to do, but worth it, imho............

Feel free to put the freeze on if you like though..........:whistling:

good price. good idea if you dont have the game already. TBH, cant be bothered to buy it, and sell everything off seperately, although very certain you would make a profit.

OOO OOO ooooo, changeable arm on the 'Statue'. Why bother with the game, there are hours of fun to be had just with this. Its funny how the game is rated over 18 but they still give you a doll to play with too.

It wasn't that much hassle to be honest, I listed the statue and book, and within 2 days they had both sold. A couple of cardboard boxes, and walk to the post office, and a DHL Europlus collection later, and I was sorted. Beats paying £30odd quid for a mediocre game anyway :whistling:

I have only found one statue so far that has sold.

I can't seem to find any more, is it the keywords I am using or perhaps very few people thought of selling the statue yet?

Good find anyway, think I may purchase.

No, the ones listed at the moment are just overpriced - they are wanting about £100 for them

Search for Soap Statue, or Warfare Statue

I listed it at £60 bin, and it sold. Can't be certain you will still get that, but it is quite likely.

will the statue fetch money in the years to come?

what are the classic unlock codes all about?

i happened to pick this up a few days ago as well - at £59.99.

OP - did you happen to use/check out the statue at all? Did it move i.e. does the figure (cap mactavish) sit firmly on the base or are they two seperate parts? Im pretty confident that its broken (the figure itself should be stuck to the base).

Cheers

You can use the code on the PSN store or Xbox Live to download the original Call of Duty game, which has been enhanced slightly and also has an eight player multiplayer mode - IGN review here . The game costs £11.99/1200ms points otherwise.

I only got the figure out to have a nose and photograph it - I am pretty sure that it was fixed to the base though...............

you put the code in on the PSN/xbox stores and you can download the first Call Of Duty game free instead of having to pay the usual £10 or whatever it is now. Bear in mind it's the infinity ward version which was only available on PC before but they've now done it in HD for the PS3/360. I finished it on the PC when it came out years ago so didn't see the point in bothering getting the PS3 version as they haven't added anything to it. Apparently it looks very dated now

#21
very good idea about selling all the bits to get the game for free effectively
Still amazing how people can be stupid enough to pay £50 or £60 for a statue!
