Have many happy memories of watching these when I was growing up. Part of me can't wait to get the DVD and watch them again, but another part is worried that it won't live up to memories and expectations.
Ah well, what the hell...

I thought that for many years - but someone told me recently that they were meant to be the Pew brothers (or something!).

I thought that for many years - but someone told me recently that they were meant to be the Pew brothers (or something!).

WIKI Quote to back up BigAde.....

"Not to be forgotten are the ever-ready Trumpton Fire Brigade, Captain Flack's gallant crew, whose roll-call can be recited by every British television viewer of a certain age: Pugh! Pugh! Barney McGrew! Cuthbert! Dibble! Grubb! Pugh and Pugh are twins, although many viewers misheard it as "Hugh! Pugh!" and assumed they were not related.
This roll-call is heard in every episode except one. In this episode ("Cuthbert's Morning Off"), Cuthbert is omitted because he is on leave. A respectful gap is therefore left in the roll call between Barney McGrew and Dibble.
The Fire Brigade is continually being called out to attend some emergency or other – but to Captain Flack's annoyance, never an actual fire! (Actually the reason for this is that both fire and water would have been too difficult to animate.) However, this doesn't stop the Fire Brigade absent-mindedly getting out the fire hose and receiving a rebuke from Captain Flack ("No no! Not the hose!")"

3 hours each?! Surely there was more than this?!?!?

Doesn't bother me too much, will still be getting these and maybe like likes of Thunderbirds and Stingray too! Can't beat the old classics!

Is it too soon for a 21 year old to get the likes of Fireman Sam, Thomas The Tank Engine, Rainbow (if it's even possible?!) and Pingu?!

That's the thing see, I did do that a few months ago, when I saw a Thomas The Tank Engine and a Fireman Sam DVD in either HMV or Woolworths! I looked on that site, but nothing seemed to come up! I've seen how many others there are! I'm gonna have to be so good and not spend too much! :(

What a crap website that is.

WHen entering card details it doesn't let you enter 2007 in the VALID FROM year box (It's April already guys) and it doesn't seem to think that 01 is a valid month for the VALID TO box.

IE also keeps warning me at every screen that the page may be insecure, hmmmmm.

Cheers

Might be a few issues with the 'friendliness' of the site but I've used Foxy for over a year & have never had any issues with billing. They have always honoured 'out of stocks' at the advertised price, sending out as soon as they had stock & I've NEVER had the 'mis-price' problems I've had with Amazon, HMV & Virgin. Slow response to queries would be my only negative comment about Foxy.

All on Stock Watch again! Just when I get back from work!!! :( Ho hum!
#28
well they let me order, saying that they had stock of all three, but by the time the warehouse came to process.... guess what! :x

just call me 'Lucky"!!!! ;-)

Pugh, Pugh, Barney McGrew, Cuthbert, Dibble, Grubb.

All in stock again-but for how long?
#31
still not got mine... :?

The PQ of these is reportedly dreadful.

Just been watching my Camberwick Green DVD this afternoon with the kids. Yes, picture quality is a bit wobbly, but nothing too bad - the kids don't seem to notice anyway. Doesn't look too shabby really considering it was made over 40 years ago (that makes me feel really old now).

The episode I just watched Windy Miller drunk too much home-brew cider and then fell asleep (passed out?)... The kids didn't understand what I found so funny. Wouldn't happen in these PC days...!

I'm still waiting for Chigley, even though the site says it in stock and has done for
weeks. I've emailed 3 times with no response and as far as I can see there isn't a phone
number... any one else having problems? :?
#35
Just about to order these but have all orders been received? Didn't look to good from the feedback above.

Anyone know when the triple DVD is released?
#36
The triple DVD Box Set has been out since September 2006

http://www.thehut.com/productimg/100/dvd/75/718575_DV_M_F.JPG

Cheapest place at the moment: £16.97 http://www.thehut.com/hut/8560554.product

I don't think its been much lower in price since its release.

Not on this item, but Foxy took money off of me for an item I cancelled, despite me cancelling it minutes after ordering, and then reordering (I wanted to use a code), and now don't answer my emails, so basically they've taken £30 off me and wont refund it or talk to me, so I'm not impressed, especially as that £30 over has cost me about £50 in bank charges.

Cheers
