I'm tempted but the lack of image stabilisation is off putting after reading the comparisons. Although this double cashback deal puts it at my price point. I wouldn't want to pay over £400 for the other ones.
I also don't really need a camera until around March/April at least so got to wonder if there will be better deals by then.
The image stabilisation is built into the lens with Fuji (same as Nikon). It works really well.
Can't see the price going much lower than this. This works out cheaper than a factory Refurb.

Oh it does have stabilisation then? That's good to know. I got confused by the first review you posted as it listed no image stabilisation as a negative. It's very unlikely that I'll be expanding the camera with extra lenses and the first review rated the Fuji higher at landscape photography which is where most of my shooting goes.

Hi yes does, it is built into the lens and can be switched on or off via the menu or Q button.
There's a review on the lens here, this is for the MK1 lens, the image stabilisation is supposed to be even better on the MKII, the MKII can focus much closer also, to 0.15m which is handy for close ups.

I have the fujix-e2 and love it however the price of lenses is steep. They are very good but I miss the price of my Nikon DSLR lenses.
I highly recommend any of the fuji x series cameras but please be aware of the additional costs if you want to expand.

Lovely camera, I've had one for over a year now... staggered they're still so expensive tbh.

I'm toying with the idea of downsizing from my Canon 550d and this is one of the bodies that ticks a lot of the boxes. The obvious issue I have is the cost of the glass as I bought both the Tamron's 17-50 VC f2.8 and my Sigma 70-200 f2.8 used for about £550. I'm pretty happy with my setup but when I'm travelling, having a smaller, lighter one would be preferable. (I only take the Tamron and a cheap Canon 55-250 IS with me as the sigma is way too big!)

I recently picked up a A6300 and Sigma MC-11 EF to E Mount adapter (non Sigma A, C, S lenses only work with single shot and continuous focus on the A6300, no Sony Eye AF or Tracking), but the Sigma 70-200 F2.8 works great, unsure about the Tamron or function with the A6000 but there are plenty of reviews on YouTube etc.

Coming from a Canon 7D the A6300 seems a lot sharper and faster to focus, I believe this A6000 is still pretty good and would probably be a upgrade whilst being more portable, worth checking out for sure!

tbf you did make an essentially irrelevant comment.
there is only really one way i can see a relevance to your post but i am not sure thats what you were getting at so its no wonder people commented
bit of an ironic post also re nerds thread and suddenly becoming an expert though

It's £1149 refurb direct from Fuji. OOS at present but if not in a hurry worth waiting (you can get them to email when in stock). Not sure if the PayPal code discount still works there for even better deal.
Code still works but only 7%, so works out at £1068.
Would recommend refurb direct from Fuji as they will have been carefully checked, they also have an excellent customer service dept.

With the Canon 5DMIV out in a months time expect some great used prices coming up.
If you hold off till 2018, you will get great deals on used Corsas when the new Focus comes out.
Just thought I'd say while we talk about irrelevant comparisons.

Wait? There’s a new Focus coming out in 2018??

To be fair though this is a mirrorless rangerfinder-style camera. I have the Xpro-1 and it's certainly not for everyone.

Price increases, deal expired.
I've heard a lots of good things about this camera and am seriously considering getting it. I found the camera body with 1 year warranty for £349.99 on SLR Hut (http://slrhut.co.uk/product/ID1631C68/google/idouk) which is quite a bit cheaper than this deal, but kinda makes me question whether SLR Hut is legit.. Anyone bought from there?
It's a shame the A6300 is so much more expensive..
SLR Hut are Grey Imports so you would not get a Sony UK Warranty or support from Sony, you would have to send the camera off to SLR Hut how would fix the camera themselves (or send it off for repair via there repairer). This deal is covered by Sony UK for 2 years.

not much of a saving atm, and as above has been cheaper many times
This seems to be the best price it has been for a while. It was slightly cheaper when the double cashback deals were running, but no £30 extended warranty included then. Waiting for the A6300 to come down in price but this still around the £1k mark.
also it often had lens when it was cheaper
tbh its 'good' atm as it seems to be generally the highest its been since price settled after release!
I guess you mean it seems to be the 'lowest' its been since release.http://www.camerapricebuster.co.uk/graphs/Sony_Alpha_A6000_Body_graph.png
dont give me the crappy charts, they dont show cashback - you yourself have posted the a6000+kit for cheaper than this price in the past
that set up wouldn't have shown on the body only graph anyway!
Best deal I've ever posted for this was £389 which included the cheap 16-50 lens. This was 6 months ago though and was dependent on Sony paying out the cashback. This is the best deal I have seen since and doesn't rely on having to claim cashback.

if you order one and send it back is it re renewed? I suppose checking the shutter count will review of its been used?
Renewed is when you chuck away old stuff and get NEW stuff.
They also have the D3200 back in stock for £199..
http://www.cameraworld.co.uk/renewed-nikon-d3200-18-55mm-dx-ii.html
Think I'd rather spend a little bit extra and get the full 2 year warranty offered by nikon for a brand new one.
Sounds the same as Refurbished..
"‘RENEWED' is just a generic term used to describe something that can’t quite be sold as brand new. In most cases it’s just an item that has been returned after a change of mind, maybe after stern words from their better half when they got home. Usually the only sign is a slightly marked box.
,They may have a small fault that is then rectified. They may have been used. Whatever the reason, these items are then individually checked by the manufacturer, warrantied and supplied with all original accessories".

The returns policy isn't the greatest so I'm giving it a miss. Great price though.
Had an email from the regarding the returns policy. They say, "so long as it is returned in the same re-sellable condition as it was recieved, with all accessories then they'll do a full refund".
then why dont they say that on the site?
I think it might just to cover all kinds of products and not just this.
I use to work in a place (Dixons) where people would buy it, ise it for whatever reason, yry to return it for a refund and it was ruined...by them!!!
ah actually i rechecked ;)
they DO say what you said for internet orders and telephone but its instore (missed that bit) that is subject to a min of 10% restocking fee

hmmm the minimum 10% restocking fee and return delivery bit? never noticed that
no chance of trying out suitability (not that you should be mikey :p )
should be ok if not working though? and more so if use paypal?

haha! I've had so many refurbs with very hard to spot problems, you need a few days to mess around with it... The old Sony Outlet (and Canon eBay Outlet) used to give you a month and free returns. I wouldn't risk this tbh, Fuji are similarly tight with their returns. I probably ended up returning 50%+ of the gear I bought due to none-obvious issues.

You'd probably be okay with Paypal but life is just too short for messing about putting claims in and waiting for refunds.

... And, I really don't need any more cameras :P

Been using one of this for a while and love it but as others have said you need the ball head or there is no point
voted hot. but as mentioned it's pretty useless without the head. I bought one for £27 and then instantly bought the head for £25 or so. no quick release without the head and would require precise positioning of the gorillapod which can be difficult. brilliant product once paired with the head.
If you have an expensive camera avoid these. The legs are prone to falling off.

What's camera photo like on it? is it better than Nokia 1020?

Yes, it would be. The sensor size dwarfs that of the 1020.
Then again, the 1020 fits in your pocket and IMO better fits the concept of 'cameraphone'.
Also, the 1020 has a 4x lossless zoom. The Panasonic has no zoom.

I've never used either of the phones myself but the way these guys gush about this device it sounds leagues above anything else found on a smartphone if you're 'in to' photography and some of the shots in this video look very nice indeed... but I'm sure the S7 would be more than adequate for most.

sorry for the late reply but this has an aperture control around the barrel of the lens as well as a conventional shutter speed dial at the top as opposed to finicky menu based manual controls. So no I'm not saying other cameras are easier or more difficult to use than this one. I'm saying, (referring you to my initial comment)...it's a nice camera with GOOD manual controls.....find a box and climb back into it

Maybe you didn't see the "second hand" qualifier to this price?
No, I saw that - that's what makes it £200 rather than £350.
Hi Misterleoni - I just got my CM1 delivered today & had a quick go. I can't compare to a G4 coz I don't have one, but I will say that so far the results seem similar to the RX100 (which I did have). I can see the jpg processing is different to Sony's but that is to be expected. I've had a lot of different Panasonic cameras in the past & the CM1 experience is inline with that.
Device wise it does feel like a phone from a few generations ago - I certainly wouldn't call it leading edge, but I wasn't expecting that.
Anyways, will get a better feel for handling & output over the next few days/weeks. I'll also search for some G4 picture examples to see what all the fuss is about.
the-bunker
misterleoni
The CM1 is not a good compromise if you ask me, since its output is unimpressive unless you put work into it, and the rest of the hardware is distinctly underwhelming - poor in places.
All good photographers put work into taking pictures - regardless of what camera they use - be that a smartphone or top of the range Nikon, Canon, etc.
Making the best use of what you have gets the best pictures - and we can't always have a Nikon D810, Canon 6D etc with us.
If all you want to do is 'snap' away without thinking then the CM1 is not for you; but if you want to know that you can take the best quality pictures no matter where you are - then the CM1 is a good idea, because most people take their smartphone with them everywhere, so it makes sense to put the best camera possible into it.
Clearly this camera phone is not for everyone - it doesn't look like it's been particularly successful for Panasonic & apart from Samsung no-one else seems to be doing it. But it will suit some people & at this price it's a hot uk deal !

The difference is that even the auto output on a good compact or DSLR will be excellent; the output on the CM1 is worse than devices like the G4 unless you have time to fiddle, so all those spontaneous photos will be worse quality - what I was saying was that the compromise VS another smartphone simply isn't worth it. All the CM1 has it that one specification - a 1" sensor - it isn't well optimised and I would go as far as to say that even if you do have the time and inclination to absorb its capabilities in manual mode you'll still end up with photos that aren't as good as the G4 - which also has very capable manual options. A large sensor alone doesn't make good pictures if the low-level optimisations and ISP in the device aren't as good as another device.

I'm not meaning to hate on the device as I wanted to love it and I am a fairly keen amateur photographer myself, so its appeal (on paper) caused me to spend £550 on a second hand one last year. The problem was that no matter how hard I worked I struggled to get better photos than on my G4 - even in low light it performed poorly in comparison, and shots were noisier even when I compared the output from both as DNG files in almost every scenario. In that event I figured 'what is the point of this 1" sensor - what is it doing for me?" I can only go on what I saw, and that was disappointing.

The fact that the hardware is also very disappointing also troubled me. Try this device if you like - you might get different results to me.

I'll be keeping my fingers crossed that this price lasts until I get my bonus in next month's payday!
If you have to wait for payday maybe a toy like this shouldn't be your highest priority?
As I mentioned, next month I get my annual bonus (I work at John Lewis), which is expected to be somewhere in the region of 8-10% of my earnings from the entire financial year just gone. That's on top of my usual wages. This is probably going to be one of several shiny new toys I can potentially buy without actually touching my normal monthly income.
What is your role at john lewis. Are you the chief exec?
Nope, bog standard retail staff. Everyone who works for JL or Waitrose receives an annual bonus as a percentage of their earnings in the previous year.
Ah right, good on you! :)
Thanks, I actually quit next week so it will be a nice leaving present :p

glad it is coming down in price may buy one when it hits £99
They've just dropped the RRP on these to £250. So £199 is a good price - heat!
Trusted Reviews
Video quality not as good as Hero4 Silver, Battery not removable

Gadget Show
The Session is looking like one of the best GoPro models yet, and it looks like it's the future for the company too - but that's also a problem for this model. Its video quality, while great for its size, suffers from exactly that too.

Techradar;

Very expensive compared with rivals, App needed to adjust most settings, Slow to respond with some MicroSD cards, The big issue with the Session is its price, especially when compared to competitors – it's hard to shake the impression that you're paying a hefty premium for the GoPro brand.

Wait for the next version!
