Just spotted this online...

"Due to a cancellation they have one £1 relocation special to be picked up asap:
One 2 seater van to be picked up by 16th March from Malaga and returned to London 7 days later.

The van costs a total of £1 for a maximum of 7 calendar days hire. Normal hire terms and conditions apply and customer is responsible for all other travel/fuel costs. This offer is for new bookings only and includes one driver 21+.

Email us now at: [email protected] "

A wicked deal if this helps someone..

Actually ideal for anyone in the Malaga area going to England and needs to take a lot of stuff back with them, eg. people moving back to England and need to take home personal items, pets etc. Newspapers always have adverts for one way hire, either way.

I must advise that it cost me over £300 in fuel to do this journey last year and fuel has gone up considerably since then, avoid unless you have to do this, its not fun.

My word...thats a lot of fuel
Was that £300.00 for a one way trip or a return trip?

My inlaws drove approximate 400 miles from Oxford to Edinburgh in a camper last year. Petrol cost £140.

It's the economy of the engine vs the size and weight of the lorry and it's cargo.

yup one way, the sat nav tells you its 1000 miles but its a lot more as you cannot fly in a straight line like a plane, there are a couple of big mountain ranges to avoid as well.
I have a property down there so have done the trip a few times and its a bloody long way.

Just out of interest how long does the trip usually take you. I assume you have a stopover somewhere?
I really wouldnt mind driving to Spain, although not in a camper van!

Done it a couple of times with my dad. We share driving and stay at a F1 (near Bordeaux last time) which are cheap and clean but not much else. So takes us 2 days.
