Wow, thats an amazing deal! I'm sure you can't get a 2 man for that price - there'd be loads of room in there :)

Heat added!

WOW GREAT PRICE. I've just got the 6 man tent thanks alot

Pretty basic for a 6 man, but still a blinding deal! Will get some of my mates to order these for our camping trip this summer, got my tent from Millets a few weeks back or i'd just order 2

Be warned though, dont buy this expecting to get 6 people + kit in there. Most likely it'll do 4

I doubt this was every £150.

The tent looks extremely 'plastic-y' and I anticipate it will rip under too much tension. I haven't had experience with 'Confidence' nor have I ever heard of them, and I can tell you one thing if camping in the summer and putting this out in the sun, it will get extremely hot inside :(

I would save up for a better made tent that will last a bit longer.

These are basic tents, intended for light occasional use i.e not canvas heavy duty, at these prices it's silly to expect anything else. As for summer camping ang getting hot inside lol - if it's hot weather you're not very likely to be sat in your tent :-D well unless you've got a sulk on cos the dogs bitten your frisby in half.

I went for 2x 4x man ones @ £19.99 each - perfect for the Silverstone weekend ;)

[*][FONT=Verdana][SIZE=2]190T Breathable inner tent, 450mm waterproof

Am I right in thinking that standard waterproof for tents is 1500mm?

Just seen this on Cyber Checkout
n order to get the best out of your tent we recommend applying a waterproofing substance at the beginning of each season. This tent is fully waterproof to 2000mm hydro static head (the recommended use for the UK is only 1500) and comes with all joints and seams taped and sealed, but, by waterproofing from early on it will help to maintain and prolong the use of your tent. It costs a just few pounds from most hardware stores and doesn’t take long to apply.

So 450mm is errrm not very waterproof?

Just to let ev eryone know as I was the OP. What a bargain this is. Its around 5'8 in the middle and its surprisingly large inside. Quick to assemble. Theres a small divider for the middle but you can have one large area to sleep in. Mosquito/bug net adorns nearly everything.

And the coat should cover quite a lot of rain, but not a monsoon.

Incredibly happy all the same. Most surprised was the set up. Quickly and Stands tall amongst £100 plus tents.

And IT WILL fit 6 people. You could even fit 2 more in a squeeze but all in. Incredible.

If you are looking for a more superior camping tent, theres one in halfords for one hundred but the best thing it comes with a few things such as 2 mattress, 2 sleeping bags, 2 lights etc.

The Decathalon pop-up tents have had good reviews even in some far more hardcore weather that you'd expect them to perform in. The range costs from £35 rrp for a 2-man iirc. Argos used to sell a tent that was renowned for being incredible vaule and as far as I know the crown for 'best extremely cheap tent' is currently being worn by Decathalon.

If you want a decent tent for any given amount of money then I'd recommend you look for reviews or posts on a proper outdoor site like outdoorsmagic.com or ukclimbing.com rather than search for cheapo generic tents where a couple of quid could get you something much much better.

Hi there,

Just wondering if any of you guys placed an order for this tent and have received it?

Apparently mine was 'shipped' on 23rd April, but I haven't received it yet :x

I've emailed Google Checkout, but haven't received a reply from them.
Have sent query instead to Sports HQ

Cheers

#19
mine arrived yesterday as well, tried to put it up today rather than go off camping only to find there was problem with it. just as well as there was no instructions in this one either. Gave up trying to work it out without instructions or even a picture to go by. Emailed Sports HQ for copy.

Just opened mine and surprise surprise no instructions.

Are you all still waiting for instructions?? If you have recieved them by email can i have a copy?
#21
bought this a few weeks ago and have used it for the first time this weekend. more than enough space to fit 2 double airbeds and sleep 4 comfortably - six might be a bit of a push. Good value for money, I didn't receive instructions and had a copy emailed to me but the poles are colour coded and it was no hassle.

Got my instructions emailed to me off sportshq,, on the weekend!
