Also you cannot buy gas from eBay unless you are picking up as most delivery companies wont deliver gas.

Don't buy the Campingaz regulator, get a Calor one instead. It's much more widely available in the UK and it's cheaper.

So does it actually matter what type of regulator or gas you use for the cooker provided that the regulator and the gas manufacturer match? does that make sense?

In other words do either get a camping gaz regulator and gaming gaz gas cylinder or a calor regulator and calor gas cylinder and provided I do that all will be good?

Sorry for the dumb question but just want to be sure

You can often find 904/907 cylinders cheap locally on ebay/gumtree (even if empty, you can save ~£20-30 by getting them filled).
