Campo Viejo Rioja Crianza is a superb Spanish red, originally priced at £6.97 a bottle but reduced to £4.47 and when you buy 6 you get an additional 25% off bringing the price down to just £3.35 a bottle.
It is also available on-line at £25.46 a case of 6, I'm not sure if the 25% discount applies to on-line orders as well.
"Campo Viejo is the largest producer of Rioja, based in a huge winery on the outskirts of Logrono. The winery boasts a staggering number of oak barrels in which the wines are aged - over 50,000. It belongs to Allied Domecq, one of the world's biggest wine and spirit companies. This wine is a blend of Spain's best-known red wine grape, Tempranillo, with 20 per cent Garnacha and 10 per cent Mazuelo. It is always aged in bottle for 6 months after its statutory year in barrel before release."
