30 minute visit = £1.80 for 2-3 hot drinks, a few pieces of cake and a quick nip to the loo. Don't mind if I do...

This is where they get you. A 30 minutes visit consisting of 2-3 hot drinks and a few pieces of cake would most definitely not involve a quick nip to the loo for me. I'd probably be spending that 6p per minute being charged for my W.C visit, I'm getting old, the body doesn't tolerate like it used to.

That said, I totally love the idea. Definitely hot :)

been posted a few times but not for a while. The concept is ok but you are always watching the time and cant relax, you are looking at spending around £5 for two people for approx 45 mins. Plus I found other peoples cleanliness wasnt up to my standards so stopped going. Many a time plates where left full of food, instead of emptying the bowls etc they just put them in the dish washer or left them on the work tops, many plates stacked in the basin. Apparently they prefer you to wash the dishes after use, hmm I wonder why, I always washed mine. Food quality was ok it just depended on who bought the food in the morning, if Tesco was on the way thats where it came from.
I went a few times, I doubt I would go again.

They expect you to clean them at 6p a minute but there is always a member of staff there to clean up when he or she gets around to it

See my comments above, hence why I stopped going the Liverpool one.

Manchester is only a few minutes away (if you don't go via the M62)

Won't last long at 6p a minute.

What a great concept not having to put up with the "sales executive" meeting, you know the sort who order 1 grande coffee and seven straws and laff all the time trying to get Brownie points with the senior accounts executive. :{

Yeah it's not like a normal coffee shop - but they do have filter coffee, espresso machine and cakes. You can spend an hour in there for £3.60 - surely worth checking out?

Read the report, interesting concept. Will try when I'm in Manchester next time. They should do a more upmarket one for those happy to pay extra & avoid the tramps.:D

Interesting

I'd stress too much though, queuing for drinks/food while the seconds tick away.

Personally don't think I'd be able to relax and knowing the HUKD forum, I'm sure most of you would be the same!

Good for you but good for me too. Let's face it, I'm going for the experience alone but if it turns out not to my expectations then I'll won't go again.

We're all capable of reading things off the internet, yet they get put as deals. I didn't read this in the news, so I would of never known about it.
