Been looking around for a while and this is the best deal I could find on this lens that isn't a Grey Import and from a proper UK retailer and therefore will come with a UK/EU Canon Warranty.

OK, ultimately this comes down to camera snobbery... you just can't let an argument go and MUST be right about everything.
Well I pretty much agreed with what you were saying, then someone comes along with their opinion and you have to try and pick it apart?

Bottom line is this is a good deal, a lot of kit for the money. Yes there are other, better options, but they will cost you more money... which really does make sense, but if you are on a budget and want an excellent camera body with a couple of lenses to get you started, this will do just fine (in fact I think it'll last a long time).

Now crawl back into your little hole with all your fancy lenses and tripods which you probably enjoy sticking up your bum and stop being a stubborn ass.
