* update : I have spoken to Very and they are saying I can use both the code and will still receive the automatic cashback. I have asked her to leave notes on my account about the offer and what we spoke about in case they do not honour the deal later )

The camera with the lens is on for £299 at VERY, you can get £50 automatic cashback from Very if you BNPL (valid till 23rd December) + £30 cashback from Canon if purchased before 18th January making it a total of £219.
It might be cheaper if you have a code but not sure if Very allows a discount code with the cashback offer. If yes it will be £190 (I have a 10% code that is working on the camera)
Free click and collect or £3.99 for delivery.

that's pretty cheap, but not having a viewfinder and reportedly poor af is a deal breaker for me. I'm wanting to drop down to a csc from my Canon dslr but they just aren't as good as the competition at the mo.
Good deal if it suits your needs though.

could you recommend a decent compact camera, I'm looking to buy one for our holidays. something that shoots well in the night. Doesn't have to have be a interchangeable lense camera. Max price range would be £250

Low light performance is greatly impacted by sensor size, bigger sensor = better low light performance.

So the smallest camera's with a decent sensor size are called 1" (then it's mFT like Olympus/Panasonic interchangeable, APS-C like this Canon, Sony NEX and A5000,A6000 and then there are bigger sensors still but not in compact bodies)

I have one of these and like it a lot, pretty decent performance at night and nice and compact

thank you so much, will look into these today. How does the canon m10 compare to lumix dmc gf7, Sony ilce 5000l. I found the Sony for for 265, is it worth it. I'm really liking to the look of the Olympuc cameras haha but they seem to be quite expensive

the lumix would cost me £200 as I can get 50 off jessops through Amex, I wonder which one is a better deal

are you actually after a compact? these ones aren't compacts as such and will pretty much need more lenses at some point (if dont want more lenses then not that much point tbh)
stuff like rx100, tz70, hx90 are compacts

I see things I like in all of them, all of them have good sized sensors and good features. Best thing to do is try and get a hands-on with them see which you like the feel of best.

The main reason I suggested the Panasonic is the size with the lens on, check it out compared to the EOS M10

Not really interested in this particular offer... Looking at the Panasonic G7, and am rather saddened that it doesn't come with the 12-60mm lens. Would have been all over the BNPL offer otherwise...

Did you get some hands-on time with your possible choices?
I took a look at the EOS M10 and the Panasonic GF7 in Currys after work today. Was shocked at how cheap the EOS M10 feels. No batteries in either of them though so didn't get to test them out fully.

hey no, I'll go today. really the M10 looks cheap? interesting. I've decided to spend a little more and get a high end compact something like the lumix lx100, will go check them all today and let you know what I end up with thanks for the reply!

so I went to have a look today, none had batteries so couldn't really compare. Plus none of the shops had the Lumix lx100 on display which I think im keen on getting. I think I'm going to go with that.

Hmm, tempted on this.

How do you get the £30 cashback from Cannon? And you mentioned a 10% discount code on cameras?
