Great price, epic lens. I paid more for a grey import than this.

I don't see why there would be any problem getting cashback from Canon on this deal, it's listed as brand new and Argos is a authorised UK Canon dealer.

I'm tempted to buy a second one at 85 quid.

A much better built lens, Metal mount, more compact, near silent focus for video, but not as wide aperture for low light / blurred backgrounds. Slightly wider angle,

Chatted with Canon online (via their LivePerson tool). 'James' said he was confident they would cover it because of being Argos, but best to confirm with Canon via 0800 044 3251 - which is closed for the holidays until the 5th Jan.

Very tempted to take the risk...
